When did Col Hunt turn against us?

Posted on 10/30/2004 7:37:15 PM PDT by tirednvirginia

I am watching Geraldo and he interviewed Col Hunt. They were discussing the "missing" weapons. Hunt implied there were many more missing weapons and that it was due to poor planning for the peace. He said it was causing the deaths of some soldiers and was embarrasing for the Bush Administration. He said they needed many more troops in Iraq. When did he turn against President Bush?

Maybe that's his honest opinion. He seems like a man of integrity to me.

I love President Bush. I love our military, but mistakes were made.

They always will be in war. I'm with the other poster, Col. Hunt is a man of integrity.

In the past, I thought he was a strong supporter of President Bush's war on terror. One would think as a military man, he would not criticize the Commander-in-Chief during a time of war unless he has made a 180 degree turn.

I think we're seeing more and more post-menopausable men in public life today. They get goofy in their retirement years.

Hackworth and Goldwater come to mind right away.

Are you objecting to his comments, or just his making them close to Election Tuesday?

Perhaps he sees his first loyalty as to the troops.

I would need context.

Hunt should know that efforts were made at Ka-Ka to bulldoze berms up against bunkers that were not emptied and that it was not a major source for contraband weapons.

There were 10,000 caches all over Iraq.

He said it was causing the deaths of some soldiers

That is a lie. They test the residue of explosions and these munitions have not been used.

I have never been thrilled with Col. Hunt. In fact, Gen. Tommy Franks calls these guys "arm chair Generals". Many of them don't realize how different this war is from when they were in the military nor how the current military had been improved in every way! I turn off these arm chair gens.

Hunt may have integrity and even be very sincere but inho he is sincerely wrong much if not all of the time.
