It was wrong to kill her. [JimRob on Terri Schiavo]

He posted this editorial on Terri Schiavo, Sunday April 3rd.

I said it was wrong to kill her. That is my opinion. Nothing can change it. No list of "facts" will ever change it.

And I put "facts" in quotes because most of the so-called "facts" posted here were in fact "opinion." Whether it was a poster's opinion, a reporter's opinion, her husband's opinion, a relative's opinion, a supporter's opinion, a detractor's opinion, a politician's opinion, a lawyer's opinion, a doctor's opinion, the president's opinion, the governor's opinion, or even the judge's opinion - they were and are all opinions.

And none of them are incontrovertible or indisputable fact.

In fact, they continue calling in more doctors and more experts to give their opinion even after it's all said and done. In this battle of press, public, politicians, doctors, lawyers and "experts" the side with the most thumbs down votes won and she was killed. What was it, two out of three or three out of five? How about we go for seven out of twelve? How about one "no" vote out of twelve and you don't execute?

The last I heard, in this country when you are on trial for your life, if there is one doubtful juror, you don't receive a death sentence. The accused receives the benefit of the doubt. Of course, Terri did not even receive the benefit of a trial much less the benefit of the doubt. She was simply snuffed out per a judge's order based on three out of five expert "opinions." It's a shame and a disgrace and a mockery of justice.

I agree with you 1000%, murder is murder, whether "legal" or not. I am sickened, disgusted, grieved to the very core of my soul by this.

In the end it didn't matter what people thought, whether she was "PVS" or "brain dead".

What mattered was her loving family only wanted her to live, and care for her. It didn't matter that they loved her. It didn't matter how hard they tried. It didn't matter that it went all the way to the President.

What only mattered was her evil power hungry HINO teamed up with a equally evil Lawyer and power hungry Judge with an agenda. They tortured this helpless woman in front of the entire world, all this they say under "rule of law".

They also crucified Christ "under rule of law"

We've just experienced a Satanic battle. He and his minions have murdered Terri. We are their next targets.

There is always evil, always sufferring, but God has perfect wisdom. We don't see why He allows things as He does, but we know He is Love, and Perfection, and Wisdom, and that therefore He will use what Satan intends for evil--God will use it for good.

I am still numb, in shock, that even when we were TRYING, we couldn't save someone like Terri. We need to evangelize more, so that there are less purely evil hard hearts. We need to provide more for our own families. We need to build up our church ministries.

I'm sad that the HS didn't answer our prayers the way we expected, but we need to submit to the Lord's will, and work on ways of preventing this happening to others.

Be encouraged, all you fellow workers. Stay in His Word, in prayer, in fellowship, and the next time He has need for us, we will be available to Him.

He is Lord! He is King! He is Judge of the entire Universe! He knows the thoughts and hearts of every man. And He calls us to trust in Christ's death and resurrection for us. Believe, and we will be saved.

Please heal our hurting hearts, O Lord. Protect us from their evils. Forgive these murderers. Use us to help them come to Your love and grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

There was no trial? Did that just go down the memory hole along with her rehab? Her EEG?

War with Oceania, anyone?

I swear that I still cannot really believe that criminality occurred!

There are probably about a dozen people who should be in jail over Terri's death!

They have created an entirely new loophole for murder.

It must be closed: absent an authentic writing, there must be an assumption for life.

Agreed. But what do we the people do now? We see our government is broken. What do we do to make sure this doesn't happen again? We're already on the way to have this happen again for new victims, perhaps dying today without all the media attention.

I think I am with you.

If the votes were unanimous, it was wrong given her condition which was plain to see.

There is a Biography Channel?

I believe he's speaking about the Biography series on The History Channel.

I'm not known around here for right-to life views, but in this, I totally agree. You can quote the Constitution and point out that this case has been reviewed under every scrutiny of the law, but what's lacking here is humanity...the basic right for an innocent person to be protected. This was ignored. A woman was put to death because she could not defend herself and we are all the poorer for it.
