It would put the STATESmen back in the Senate. I'm all for it. Albany would never have picked Hillary. Too few in Congress give a rat's ass about keeping authority that belongs to the States from migrating illegally into the Federal government. Senators beholden to their state legislatures would give one. This would restore respect for the 10th Amendment, and let Senators act more like Judges than Representatives. They are supposed to be half-way between the two. As it is, they are unable to do anything (like convict a guilty president) without checking a poll.
