Karl Logan, lead guitarist of heavy metal powerhouse Manowar, was injured on Tuesday, January 24th 2006 in a motorcycle accident. Logan sustained severe injuries to his left arm, which will prevent him from performing for an as-yet-unknown period of time. "Manowar will have to reconsider all of our plans, but the good news is that Karl is ok and he'll be back stronger than ever," says Manowar bassist Joey DeMaio.

Logan was preparing to record his lead guitar parts for the upcoming, yet to be named, Manowar album, the release of which will now be delayed. Touring plans are also expected to change as a result of this unfortunate turn of events. However, Manowar will soldier on. "We don't have any more information at this time," says DeMaio. "But nothing ever has, or ever will, stop Manowar." More information will be released as it becomes available.

Wasn't Man-o-war 80's HM, akin to Motorhead and Iron Maiden?

BTW, was the name of that linked album called Brokeback Mountain Revisited?

Let me tell ya, you will not get much thread traction with that pic. I feel sooooooo....you know...GAY looking at the picture. Maybe if we offset this with another 80's heavy metal singer Tiffany.

Ummm.. no. Lemmy was cool. Lemmy was uber-cool. Lemmy was about as cool as cool could get.

Man-O-War... Um... they were gay. Uber-gay. They made Rob Halford look straight. Motorhead and Iron Maiden kicked ass. Man-O-War... they just sucked ass.

Hi killjoy-

How absolutely true about Lemmy and the boys from Motorhead being uber-cool. Just saw them the other month and they were absolutely fantastic. Judas Priest was also on the road last year and they were peforming at the top of their game as well.

As an aside, maybe this Man-O-War cover doesn't make you feel quite so gay:

The picture doesn't help. They are still more gay than Rob Halford dressed in a thong at the Berlin Love Parade. Lets do a quick compare and contrast between Man-O-War lyrics and Motorhead lyrics:

Man-O-War:

Wrote a letter to the m.t.v.
What’s goin’ on now
Don’t ya care about me
Sent the same letter to the radio,
But my party went dead
Like a shot in the head
We all like it-rock and roll
We all want it-on your show
Play it loud, don’t play it low
Blow your speakers with rock and roll

Motorhead:

One look baby, all I need,
My decision made at lightning speed,
I don't even want to know your name,
It's enough to know you feel the same,
Hey babe you know you look so fine,
Send shivers up and down my spine,
I don't care about our different ages,
I'm an open book with well thumbed pages,

Any questions? I didn't think so.

Hi killjoy-

I'd rather get that picture of Rob Halford you've painted out of my head! Motorhead was great...you should have heard them singing Just Cos' You've Got The Power at the last show. Those guys have some unbelievable talent.

I saw them when they were on tour with Slayer back around 1988 or so. Great show.

Doesn't Lemmy write an advice piece for a magazine now? I am thinking Maxim or FHM or something like that.
