Short term memory problems?

Not at all... LOL!

1992 - Lost divisional playoff against Buffalo 24-3.
1993 - Lost wild-card playoff to Kansas City 27-24, OT.
1994 - Lost conference championship to San Diego 17-13.
1995 - Lost Super Bowl to Dallas 27-17.
1996 - Lost divisional playoff to New England 28-3.
1997 - Lost conference championship to Denver 24-21.
2001 - Lost conference championship to New England 24-17.
2002 - Lost divisional playoff to Tennessee 34-31.
2004 - Lost conference championship to New England 41-27.

That is quite a resume of choke jobs!

I mean the Steelers seem to be the NFL version of the Atlanta Braves - always make the playoffs, and never seal the deal.

The only people rooting for the Seahawks live in Seattle or Cleveland.

I think you're right.

Considering the Seahawks haven't won a playoff game before this season since the Reagan administration, I would keep my mouth shut if I were you about the past.

But nothing beats the embarrassment of the Green Bay game. ("We're going to take the ball and we're going to score!!!")

I'm not a Seahawks fan, I'm a Pats fan - so I really don't need to keep my mouth shut about the past, now do I? ;-)

Look I'm just saying that Billy the Chin has had a long line of coulda-beens.

"I like Jerome. But he's in the AFC and plays my Pats nearly every year. So I'll be glad to see him go..."

Thanks for an explanation that makes perfect sense!

Madden's observation is the team that's having the most fun wins.

Our food columnist can beat up your food columnist.

The moment the Steelers clinched its Super Bowl berth last Sunday, I ripped off an e-mail to my Seattle colleague, Hsiao-Ching Chou, food editor of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

Feeling full of beans, I gushed, "I'm betting on the Steelers big time. Want to bet? If your rain-soaked Seahawks should win, I'll send you five pounds of Polish kielbasi and a homemade walnut roll. If the Steelers win, what are you good for?"

She came back with, "I'm good for a five-pound bag of the best dang Penn Cove mussels you'll ever have."

Mussels? You're kidding. "That's sissy food," I sassed. She amended her bet to five pounds of Copper River King Salmon. (Obviously, there are no traditional Seattle football foods.)

Something about that cartoon of the steel worker reminds me of a Simpsons episode where Homer takes Bart to a steel mill and all of the steelworkers were gay.

The video I saw had many of the players sporting the Bus's Notre Dame game jersey...as for flashy and cocky I didnt see that at all. I think they (the Stillerz) were just surprised by the turnout (Yinzers travel well) to greet them at the airport. Apparently, Detroit and Pontiac are turning into a western suburb of the Burgh.

Look, just to clear the air hear:

I WANT THE STEELERS TO WIN

It's just that the coronation is a bit early, and I'm surprised that 'Steeler Fan' isn't a bit more reserved given their decade+ long history of folding in the biggest games.

That's actually pretty funny. One problem with this picture though... true Seattlites disdain umbrellas unless it's pouring.
