This news is the oldest of the old. That’s why Newt was so mum on Clinton’s affairs.

Gingrich Admits to Affair During Clinton Impeachment

Wasn't it our patriotic duty to have an affair during the Clinton Impeachment. After all, JFK did it, FDR did it, Jefferson did it....

Nice. Now go away, Gingrich.

This is the best they can do? Didn’t cheat on my wife but I have cheated on my diet so I officially can’t throw chocolate bars.

Newt is such an intelligent guy, I hope he knows he shouldn’t run for President. He could be a very valuable asset in a future Republican administration. The press would go crazy over this idea...Secretary of Treasury. Because that would have to be confirmed by Congress, maybe Chief Economic Advisor to the President.

Newt has a new book to sell - 'Pearl Harbor".

Any publicity is good publicity.

Great spin work by Tapper. The Clinton kneepad wearers with DNA still dripping down their chins want us to equate what Gingrich did to what Clinton did. The comparison ends at cheating on their wives. (In fairness to Clinton, I certainly understand why he didn’t want to get near Hillary.)

Gingrich did not create a hostile work environment, did not give a troubled intern top secret clearance at the Pentagon, did not hide evidence, did not have thugs intimidate witnesses, did not use troopers and state vehicles for affairs, did not turn in a false affidavit to the court, did not use taxpayer funded attorneys to hide what he did, did not commit perjury, did not suborn perjury, and did not try to deny a lowly employee her day in court. Oh, yeah. He also didn’t rape anyone.

The comparison is specious, foolish, and disingenuous.

"There were times when I was praying and when I felt I was doing things that were wrong. But I was still doing them," Gingrich said"

Unlike Bubba, Newt gets it. He repents, (at least publicly), of his sin while acknowledging his human weakness. Following Saint Paul's lead Newt acknowledges the internal spiritual warfare of the body against the spirit.
"For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate." (Romans 7: 15)

Though the left will excoriate Newt for doing what they gave Bubba a pass on, I believe that he is the best man for the White House in '09. If he chooses not to run, then Duncan Hunter is the man. I'd love to see this combination as Pres/vice pres.

My mistake! I thought it was May 9, 2007.

Sorry about that!

Just forget this “news”!

I will do my penance! I will write “I will read more carefully a thousand times!”

OK? Am I forgiven? With sugar on it? How about booze?
