It is not a strech at all.

The fact that some officer was reading a (LITERALLY) list of left wing legal activist group talking points in a PRE-usconstitutional era is PURE politics.

It was standard procedure. If you want to refer something a tad more accurate, consider the opening sequence of Captain Blood with Erol Flynn. There is was assembly line justice with the judge as judge jury and executioner.

You are dissembling because I never made ANY comparison of the pirate character to ANY real figure. I have made an accurate observation that the movie is spewing left wing propaganda by misrepresenting the state of legal affairs against the pirates of the time.

There is no reason to pay money to see pirates 3. You can get the same political propaganda by simply watching Katie Kouric on CBS.

What I did say is that the movie is so POORLY WRITTEN that we do not give a rats posterior about the characters and within 30 minutes of the movie you wish everyone would just die because they are ALL unsympathetic and unbelievable.
