She was accused of having sex with a minor male student on two occasions while she was a teacher at Raymond G. Wells Junior High School in 2005.

Origin, Tagalog (Philippine’s national language) meaning, STUPID or DUMB. He’s such a “bobo” person!; or, “Bobo!” - translation, “Stupid!” ...(from the Urban Dictionary)

Wow, that booking photo made her chin disappear!

Still, she's not necessarily a total pooch considering that this IS a mugshot and she's 39.

The full story is worth reading. Charges were dropped by another minor who decided he wanted to serve his country (enlist) more than go to court. No BoBo he.

I seem to remember reading something about the tagalog language being a put on by a social anthropologist.

National Geographic was open to ridicule.

I thought one feature of law was that certain classes of offenses are so serious that they will be prosecuted regardless of the victims wishes.

Certainly not a legal expert here, but if the accuser (here the young man who enlisted and is abroad in military service) does not testify, then the constitutional right to confront one’s accuser is denied. So that trial didn’t go forward for that reason, I suspect.
