A patriotic Englishman, returns from the privations of Iraq, keen to continue with his public service and applies to join his local police force. A commendable and public spirited act most right thinking people would conclude.

Well, not if you are Greater Manchester Police. Oh no, just by having a tattoo on your arm extolling your love of country - England, is enough to consign you to the unemployment scrap heap, so infested with political correctness has the force now become.

What has happened to the mealy mouthed platitudes about free speech, freedon of expression etc??? Weren't these the very values our boys were fighting to preserve in Iraq? Wasn't the disreputable Blair pinning his whole being on bringing democracy to nations blighted by dicatators? Wasn't it all about freedom???.......

Not a bit of it. The same two faced anti libertarian, controlling communistic nonesense we have been putting up with for the last ten years, rears its ugly head in blatant and manifest example of race discrimination. The very same discrimination, if perpetrated against any other ethnic or minority group, would guarantee a trip to the police station and hours of intimidating questioning.

Apparently if you are English you are invisible and worse than that you don't count.

A FORMER soldier who served in Iraq has been barred from joining the police because of a tattoo.

Craig Briggs was told the ‘England’ tattoo on his forearm “might be seen as racist or cause offence” by Greater Manchester Police.

Well it’s not like it said, “Muslims Suck” or anything.

One of my physician friends leased a laser and is removing tattoos at $100 per treatment. It usually takes 6 treatments to remove one. He regales me with stories of all the interesting and embarrassing tats he has removed from various locations on people.
