We’re becoming so productive here, the French are having to distill much of their vendange to auto fuel.
Texas wines are placing against both the Californians and the French.
Texas vines rescued the ancient French varietals when phylloxera (louse) wiped out their crops. Dr. Munson grafted their jewels onto our old, wild, untended, 200 y.o. rootstock in the 1910s, securing their legacy.
