Illinois license plates have been a sign of trouble since 1970 or before. In September, 1970, I returned to my high school to note that there were several cars with Illinois license plates in the parking lot. I found that odd, since my high school is at least 250 miles from the Illinois border. There were three, or perhaps four Illinois plates in the parking lot. I also noted that the drivers of these cars were African American. That didn’t surprise me since Chicago had a large AA population. Before the end of the year, civil unrest and a number of violent incidents had occurred. Several white sudents were severely beaten. In recent years, I have wondered if a group from Illinois, perhaps Jesse Jackson Rainbow PUSH or a similar group, had been involved. Although I was less than ten years old in 1960, I also remembered hearing that the Mayor of Chicago had let dead people vote to throw the 1960 Presidential election. And people I know from around Chicago are unrepentant Leftists. Chicago, Illinois=TROUBLE.

Democrats made the same mistake in 2004, using volunteers from far away to canvass votes that were ineffective because people hate being solicited by strangers.

they are canvassing other states.
I got my invitation to “drive for change” to new mexico.
To go door to door to inform (harass) voters.

Or, if I couldn’t drive, today, in two union halls in az and two obama headquarters, I could bring MY CELL PHONE and they would give me a list to call in NEW MEXICO.

or if I couldn’t make it to the phone camp today (11 hours) I could log in and I could get a phone list of people in New Mexico to inform (harass).

After we left there a few minutes later, we ended up at QT for some gas ($2.99/gal!!!) and saw this SUV just SMEARED with bumper stickers. It also had Illinois plates. I start saying "Jeez! lookit all those stickers! The duck tape of the new millinium! Bumper stickers." (And yes, they were mostly Obama's and other liberal drivel)

I maintain that there's an inverse relationship between the number of bumper stickers (right or left-wing) on a vehicle and the rationality of the owner.

misharu, I’m sorry I posted what I thought was a charming photo on your thoughtful thread and it was spoiled by some pretty rabid comments. I apologize.
