Hey All:
It's not too early to prepare for election night follies at the news networks. Tell your family, friends, and neighbors to pay no attention to any broadcast news until they have voted (for McCain/Palin of course). Even if the networks proclaim a Nobama landslide, do not become discouraged, do not walk away from the voting booth!
To refresh your memory, here's a brief history of the Florida panhandle swindle of 2000:
The networks called Florida for Gore early in the evening on election day - before polls had closed in the Florida panhandle, which is part of the Central Time Zone. NBC called Florida for Gore at 7:49:40 p.m., Eastern Time, 10 minutes before polls closed in the Florida panhandle. Thirty seconds later, CBS called Florida for Gore. And at 7:52 p.m., Fox called Florida for Gore. At 8:02 p.m., ABC called Florida for Gore, after the Florida polls were closed.
The premature calls cost Bush thousands of votes from the conservative panhandle, as discouraged last-minute voters heard that their state had already been decided, and many voters who were waiting in line left the polling place. In Florida, as elsewhere, voters who have arrived at the polling place before closing time often end up voting after closing time because of long lines.
The conventional wisdom of politics is that supporters of the losing candidate are most likely to give up on voting when they hear that their side has already lost. This effect went far beyond Florida and suppressed Republican turnout across the country, because if Florida was lost, the election was lost.
So, start getting the word out! No matter what the networks say, stay in line and vote!

There are a lot of Democrat House Reps. that require Republican replacements!
Hey Vanity Police!
I posted this in chat, so f*ck off.
You do realize that you’re basically talking to a wall? There are people here hooked up to the polls intravenously.
This year I will do something I haven't done since 1964. I will avoid all election discussion on TV and concentrate on a number of taped shows I haven't been able to watch.
I remember how PO'ed I got during 2004 when the MSM all but called the election for Kerry before any of the polls closed, needless to say my mood improved when the real results started to appear.
I imagine this year will be much worse, the MSM will be claiming the largest democrat sweep in the history of American to try to depress Republican turnout, since Republicans tend to vote in the evening, because unlike most democrat voters (college kids, unemployed, homeless, welfare queens) Republicans actually have jobs during the day.
I figure I might as well remain in a good mood until I see some real numbers saying otherwise...
Vote.
Go grovery shopping. Go see a movie. Read.
BUT DON’t BELIEVE A SINGLE WORD EMINATING FROM ANY NEWS SOURCE. THEY HAVE BEEN BOUGHT.
Me, too.
I probably won’t resist checking in here... but I’m not turning on the TV just to spend an entire evening being severely depressed by the mainstream media. And I have no reason to believe it’ll be anything other than it has the last couple of times out - vast and early projections of an Obama landslide. Obama’s winning 100% of the vote. This may be a 50 state sweep. Nothing can stop The Messiah NOW! It’s all over... McCain to throw in the towel long before the polls close... and why not?
It’s going to be relentless. And if McCain wins (and I sure hope he does!) the news probably won’t come until 4:42 A.M., after the media has tried EVERYTHING in their power to turn the numbers to their advantage and have their Socialist God win the day.
I don’t need any of that. I’ll vote. Watch a couple of movies, sleep badly, and wait until the next day to find out which of the people I don’t like is now running my country.
Agreed! Go vote regardless of what you here from the liberal and biased MSM.
JoMa
Never heard of the guy until Opra....and that was before he was running. My thoughts at the time...An Orator who ultimately says nothing.
Wright told us who he was and Joe the plumber told us what he was up to.
We have to work hard to drag McCain over the finish line, even if hes kicking and screaming.
1.) Protest the media write letters, call, picket. Lets keep this up until 11/4 - do whatever it takes.
2.) Put up a yard sign, bumper sticker, wear a shirt - show your party with pride.
3.) Donate time, money - Not everyone has extra money to give, but working the phone banks is almost painless, a hour here or there...and you get to meet a lot of great people. Phone calls can also be made from home. Im going to be a first time poll worker.
4.) Sign petitions Grassfire.org has a acorn petition and they also have a birth cert.
5.) Blog, blog, blog place links to youtube vidios or stories on other sites, especially those who work with the pumas - the MSM wont get the word out, but we can!! Email all you know.
6.) Dont believe the polls In fact, dont believe anything the media tells you this election. Is there a bradley effect...maybe. What alot of people are missing is many republicans voted for Hillary in the primary. Why?? Operatin Chaos or because they didnt want a marxist like bho near the oval office and the republican candidate had already been decided. So, there are not as many dems as people would have you think.
7.) Remain positive Nothing postive ever resulted from being negative.
8.) PRAY
Dont be discouraged. We can do this!!
In 2000, I was standing in a line more than a block long to cast my vote after work. The news rippled through the line that the networks had called Florida for Gore. It turned my guts to ice water. We were sure it meant a big win for the Dems. I was stewing for the next TWO HOURS while I waited my turn to vote. But I am happy to say that I saw only one person bail out of the line in our heavily Republican precinct.
Broken-glass Republicans can win this thing. Do not be discouraged. Pray, volunteer, persuade, donate, VOTE. Never give up, never never never give up.
