Theyve been in the White House less than a week, but the first daughters have already been co-opted by marketers and Michelle Obama isnt happy about it.
Ty, the toy company responsible for the popular Beanie Babies dolls, is now marketing Sweet Sasha and Marvelous Malia dolls.
The first ladys office said Friday Ty was out of line. We feel it is inappropriate to use young private citizens for marketing purposes, said a spokeswoman for Michelle Obama in a statement.

Great idea—a Piper doll! It would have to be a talking doll, though, like the old Chatty Cathy doll.
Dolls are Dummies so what’s the problem here?
Likeness? They are generic small female person dolls.
I also think it is inappropriate.
Last time I will agree with her, I am sure.
(I hope so because agreeing with her gives me the creeps.)
I recall when the press had field days with the Bush twins? Good “bad girls in the White House” stories meant more readers. It is always about the bottom line, this is no different.
If Michelle would have approved during the campaign or wants a cut of the profits is irrelevant as to whether or not it is right. I do not think it is right.
The girls seem to be very well behaved and poised.
[Now I am really getting freaked out—I agree with her about Ty and complimenting her as a mother.]
Ty should produce those dolls. The proceeds from those sales should be donated to pay for all world wide abortions performed since bambam signed the bill. Every woman who undergoes an abortion, should receive a free S or M doll.
Yeah it’s pretty bad when we’re put in a position of defending Michelle. But, there is nothing to indicate that she is anything but a loving mother who’s done well in raising her girls.
I hated what the press did to the Bush twins (imagine! drinking beer as college students!), much less to the Palins. I didn’t even like the attacks from our side on Chelsea Clinton. Some level of decency has to be restored when it comes to the First Kids, or any politician’s kids.
Let the battles be on policy issues, then we have a good fight and a good cause. Let’s just keep kids out of this.
GREAT MOVIE.....Yes that’s Michelle!!!!!!!!
