So sad. Buddy and Ritchie were so young. The Beatles picked their name after The Crickets. Buddy was way ahead of his time, Ritchie’s “Donna” was an incredible so for a teenage songwriter and I always like “Chantilly Lace” by the Big Bopper. Big Bopper was sort of rockabilly and punk with that tune.
My music era was the 1980s but these guys were great.
Ritchie Valens was only 17 1/2, wow.
