I thought she was dying?
We were supposed to lay off of her and her scumbag husband because she was “dying”.
Apparently, she has the time and energy to write a book and go on the road.
Time to live up to your promises, Elizabeth.
I think there’s much more of this philandering in the past. This just keeps things current. Totally crazy display of whjatever the Edwards family would call this. BOTH are guilty of deceit!!
She was blinded to her husband's faults, that seemed so obvious to us. She had built an image of her husband in her mind that was bigger than life and that fit the man that she wanted him to be, her own personal knight in shining armor. Delusional, probably, but she isn't the only woman to have ever fallen in love with a cad, and pay the price for it. We have heard stories about how John Edwards treated neighbors and how he behaved in court. What do you think he was like behind the closed doors of their home? I bet it was pretty awful. I also bet that the wife, once an attractive, talented young lawyer, herself, was mentally beaten down to the status of a combination housemaid, mother, hostess for John's friends and business acquaintances. Her book is telling the world, I was in denial, I stood my man, but nothing will ever be the same again. She is saying that she realizes that John Edwards is not the man that she thought he was, but that is what she has to deal with now, because she still needs him.
I heard that interview live and was shocked that Norris was asking the tough questions that everyone wants answered.
My guess is Eddie's income has dropped like a rock----and he desperately needs money for legal fees. Plus the upkeep on that monstrosity of a house they built must be enormous.
As one FReeper posted: "This is just another variation on the usual liberal playbook of 'You sucker, you're trying to play by the rules while we beat you to death with the rule book.' Elizabeth Edwards relied on the fact that decent people are reluctant to criticize or question somebody who's suffering from a deadly disease. She used cancer to gain sympathy and deflect criticism and support her husband's campaign, all the time relying on trusting people to get away with it. Now that's vile and nasty."
That nails it. Plus the fact that she was extorting trusting people for campaign contributions, knowing Eddie was not fit to be president.....and could not be elected. Raising money knowing Eddie was going to be exposed as a liar and a cad is fraudulent.
This woman is every bit as disgusting as her husband. As an editorial I saw yesterday noted, just imagine how her kids are faring at school with all their little classmates well aware of their mother’s highly publicized book.
