DES MOINES, Iowa, April 28 (UPI) -- Members of the media accompanying President Barack Obama to Iowa discovered a comic book featuring the commander in chief in a coffee shop.
The reporters said they were waiting in a Des Moines coffee shop while Obama exercised between 7:40 a.m. and 8:25 a.m. and discovered Issue 3 of comic book "Barack the Barbarian," from Chicago-based Devil's Due Publishing, in the cafe.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton joked about the comic book to reporters, USA Today reported.
"When you come to Iowa you see all sorts of fun things," Burton said. "And it's nice to see the manifestation of somebody's creative energy in the president slaying a large elephant."
Dang. Palin looks good riding that Elephant.
What a horrible web site. Embedded links deceptively lead you to ads. What a despicable practice.
Sickening propaganda...
Re the comic book cover on the left...the guy in the background looks somewhat like Cheney.....?
Well, Obama IS as vapid, mindless and two dimensional as a cartoon, so. . .
Yep, and the woman at his feet clinging to his leg looks like the media.
All the women are white.
This is very racist. I wonder how FLOTUS the Barbarian feels about this.
“When you come to Iowa you see all sorts of fun things,”
Yeah, like the American public. Go back to D.C., Burton, and snicker about Iowa with your elitist liberal friends.
There’s been way more comics “starring” BHO than just BTB. I get Previews every month, and until quite recently not a month went by without some comic about BHO. Now, I’ve been watching the comics ‘industry’ since the late 1980s, and I NEVER saw this with RWR, GWHB, WJC, or GWB. Sure, all of those presidents (and ones previous, all the way back to JFK) might make an *occasional* appearance in comics, but not MULTIPLE appearances every month! We’ve had several BHO “biographical” comics; that was to be expected, and BHO has also had comic appearances with Spider-Man, Ash from the evil dead franchise, some other comic where BHO fights zombies (I think that one’s called President Evil, how witty and clever /s) and there’s been other one-shots that have mercifully slipped my memory. This touting of BHO started before the election and only tapered off about 2-3 months ago. I expect that’s because the crap isn’t selling, and BHO’s approval rating is plummeting any way.
There was a second issue that's even harder to find.
This was put out in the 1960s by some book publisher (but I don't recall who at this time).
So the date of Obama's birth is definite, but they don't know what year his mom moved to Hawaii?
His birth hospital has been reported as two different places (and some wire services went back to later revised their online content when it was brought to their attention).
So how do we know the facts we know? An echo chamber is not "proof".
I counted 7 separate comic book appearances by BHO, in February (?)2009. Early 2009 anyway-IOW, these were a bunch of comics rushed out quickly after the election in an attempt to cash in, back when BHO’s supporters were still all excited and his approval ratings were high. I don’t think any US president has ever had that many different comic book appearances out, all from different companies, at any one time. Thank God it’s tapering off now...last month, I only saw 2 comic book appearances by BHO, and the month before, NONE.(But I wasn’t in the market for obamarobilia, so I may have missed one or two.) I’ll pick up the newest Previews tomorrow, see how many times BHO will be inflicted on the comics world in July. Sigh...
