Wow!

Someone was obviously heavily and negatively influenced by reading “The Woman's Room” by Marilyn French.
LOL!
I find it hard to comprehend that anyone could read the book series, and find something to complain about, relating to human morality

I thought the first movie in the series was very good actually. Edward and the other vampires were convicted by a conscience, hence they controlled themselves to only feed on animals. And as much as Edward wanted to have Bella for dinner, he cared for her and loved her...hence no sex. That had a lot of meaning actually as there are many very decent people in society that are similar, they have demons in them but they are still really decent people and would never outwardly express those demons on anyone else if they could possibly help it. Millions of people are like that and there is no escaping those demons in our minds without the help of God and no struggle from us. It is exactly what they want, a mental fight or conversation with them. They are the voices in our heads which masquarade as us!

This explains why I’m so goofed up - the only stuff I ever read growing up was Jules Verne and HG Wells.

Of course I read it. And saw the movie at home. I was over a nieces house one evening with nothing to do, and read it. My son rented the movie and I watched it.

Just read over a page, and look at Edward’s emotions. The list of 20 things I posted, and the paragraph above, was from another source, as I stated. But I am not the only one who feels this way. Just do a search with Twilight and Edward and abuse. You will get alot of results.

There was a time George Reeves was being blamed for children hurting themselves trying to fly like Superman, and Larry, Moe, and Curly being blamed for kids slapping each other. “Dangers to society” all.

Same ol same ol.

I didn’t need an adult to tell me this. I already knew that this was crazy. I was, and still am, a devout Catholic and thought that going to gurus was depressing. Maybe because I’m an Anglo-file may have colored my thinking.

They see AVATAR and come away hating the military. As if it were real or something.
I just rented avatar the other day, and I vehemently diagree, as I came away from the movie merely wanting to turn my back on my culture and planet while pursuing blue non-human 'tang.

I mean really: Blue non-human 'tang?

You are fortunate. Several of my friends were sucked in. In those days, it was quite “hip” to meditate.

Frankly, you strike me as an idiot, completely at the mercy of any/all knee jerk reactions your “handlers” direct.

I assume you find “evil” in the Chronicles of Narnia, harry potter, and the bourne conspiracies also.

Tell me the truth. Did Jimmy Carter ever actually curdle your blood?
Probably not, since fighting against fictional evil is so much more rewarding to the weak and ineffectual, and so comfortably effortless, than fighting against the actual real and present evil the rest of us deal with.....

I told you what’s going around the web.

And I don’t have to defend my conservative credentials. If you think my disapproval of a vampire romance for young girls - because I don’t think it’s emotionally healthy for them to read - must make me a Jimmy Carter lover, then I’m certainly not going to take you on in logical argument. Your comments are way beyond the pale.

Since you obviously would rather insult and call names than engage in discussion, and my opinions upset you, I’ll leave you to read and enjoy Edward and Bella and their sweet vampire romance.

PS. I love Harry Potter, I love Narnia, and I’ve never seen the Bourne conspiracies, so I really can’t say on that. But the twilight series is creepy, and simply because you don’t see it doesn’t make it not so.

Thanks mewzilla. It’s interesting to read that thought on the subject.
