Why do men die first?
This is a question that has gone unanswered for centuries, but, now we know. It requires a bit of explanation, first:
If you put a woman on a pedestal and try to protect her from the rat race ... you're a male chauvinist. If you stay home and do the housework ... you're a pansy. If you work too hard ... there's never any time for her. If you don't work enough ... you're a good-for-nothing bum. If she has a boring repetitive job with low pay ... this is exploitation. If you have a boring repetitive job with low pay ... you should get off your lazy behind and find something better. If you get a promotion ahead of her ... that is favoritism. If she gets a job ahead of you ... it's equal opportunity.
If you mention how nice she looks ... its sexual harassment. If you keep quiet ... its male indifference. If you cry ... you're a wimp. If you don't ... you're an insensitive bastard. If you make a decision without consulting her ... you're a chauvinist. If she makes a decision without consulting you, she's a liberated woman.
If you ask her to do something she doesn't enjoy ... that's domination. If SHE asks you ... it's a favor. If you appreciate the female form and frilly underwear ... you're a pervert. If you don't ... you're gay. If you like a woman to shave her legs and keep in shape ... you're sexist. If you don't ... you're unromantic. If you try to keep yourself in shape ... you're vain. If you don't ... you're a slob.
If you buy her flowers ... you're after something. If you don't ... you're not thoughtful. If you're proud of your achievements ... you're full of yourself. If you don't ... you're not ambitious. If she has a headache ... she's tired. If you have a headache ... you don't love her anymore. If you want it too often ... you're oversexed. If you don't ... there must be someone else.
Why do men die first? Because they want to.
Until the XXth Century, women died first. One of the great advances in public health of the last century was the huge increase in female longevity. No more money should be spent to research cures for female diseases like breast cancer until men have the same life expectancy as women.
We die first bcause we WANT to.
But, things are changing. It is now very pc to have Mom work and Dad plays “Mom”. So Dad will have less stress and Mom will die sooner. REAL men will still die sooner though.
I thought the increase in female longevity was due to the decrease in the maternal death rate.
I am expecting and have a condition that would have meant certain death for me and the baby 100 years ago. I *heart* ultrasounds!!
Right up there with my favorite Ad commercial...”Why is a good man so hard to find?” Woman responds, “Because he’s so small!”

Actually women have always lived longer ,, IF they don’t die in childbirth.
My father is convinced that the neck tie is to blame for this sad statistic. Men are choking off the supply of blood to their brains for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Someone could just as easily write one of those about women. “If you’re a traditional housewife, you’re unfulfilled and/or a lazy leech and probably sit around watching Oprah all day. If you have a career, you’re an evil feminazi who doesn’t care about her kids. If you make yourself look sexy and feminine, you’re a bimbo or a slut. If you go for comfort and not much makeup, you’re a ‘dog’ or a lesbian. If a man is assertive, ambitious and tough, it’s a good thing. If a woman is, she’s the ‘B’ word.” Etc., etc....
Probably true.
To me, I think it all boils down that most of the things about women I find charming have a shelf-life of about 20-30 years. The things I find annoying about them live on the rest of their lives.
