Surge Desk brings you some of the top excerpts from "The Obama Diaries," blending Ingraham's humor, satire and social commentary.
President Obama:
Some things are more important than what Americans want to buy. Things like community and climate change and that episode of Entourage where Drama thinks he has no friends until the guys throw him a big surprise party at the end. We have to be concerned about each other and buy things that advance the common good.
First Lady Michelle Obama:
Honestly, I think we've done all we can for the Gulf Coast. On my way out of town I even stopped by the Pink Pelican Ice Cream Bar to enjoy a luscious treat called the "Chocolate Hurricane." (I have to remember to e-mail Ray Nagin about that one.) After my visit, there will be lines around that ice cream joint for decades -- and who knows, by then they might have even capped that oil spill. But in the meantime, they might want to consider renaming the place the "Brown Pelican Ice Cream Bar." And to think, earlier today, I told the NAACP that, "Dessert is not a right." I stand by that. It's not a right. When I'm working this hard, it's a necessity! LOL

Heard some of the audio book tonight.
The person who plays Michelle is hilarious.
Sasquatch!
;)
It sounds like a really dumb book. I usually like what she writes and I love her radio show!
That’s why I said “light reading.”
Biden’s comment is hilarious because it sounds just like him.

Rahm dropped by. Again. Let me be queer ... What I mean to say ... oh Diary, why does life have to be so hard?
What’s a girl, I mean a guy to do?
Sigh (teardrops)
I’ve read some real quotes from them that are quite outrageous. Here’s MO’s recent: In these kind of strong African American communities, we went to neighborhood schools around the corner. So many of us had to walk to and from school every day, rain or shine. I know youve told that story. And in Chicago, where I was raised, we did it in the dead of winter. No shoes on our feet it was hard, but we walked!
Saw this at the wholesale club tonight, under $14.
Can someone please explain the connection of this book to the promo video? I can't quite get how the content of this book is related to the imagery suggestive of the Watergate events of the 70s: the garage, "Deep Throat," and the famous scenes from "All the President's Men."
Because she stated that when she came out of a beauty salon & was walking towards her car, she saw a manilla envelope on her windshield...
...so they are adding a little mystery in with the video:)
Here’s a nickel—buy a sense of humor!
With the Obamas, truth is stranger than fiction!
OK...the video is a little corny.
But I love to see a beautiful woman like Laura (who is a cancer survivor) laugh and have fun.
Yes, so why in the world did Laura Ingraham write a book of fictional quotes ???
A book of actual 0bamao quotes would have been just as funny and outrageous, and much more effective for the upcoming elections.
.
True.
Why not just read the quotes attributed to Barack and Michelle on our FR Caption threads?
