Dr. Ron Paul explains why income tax and the FED are contradictory to individualist freedom. Most freepers disagree w/ Dr. Paul on foreign policy and I do too but this video is worth listening to.

abolishing credit money via the federal reserve corporation would restore our republic overnight, no more bailouts, foreign aid, most federal agencies would dissolve overnight. see ex Fed Chairman Beardsley Ruml: “Taxes for Revenue are Obsolete” American Affairs dec 1941 I think. Actually Any State could do it tomorrow by refusing to accept Federal Reserve Notes and demand Legal Tender as described in the Constitution.(article 1 section 8 and 10 I believe) Only Banks that accept Federal Deposits are required to accept Federal Reserve Notes under current Law, State’s and Individual’s have no such requirement. The Us Treasury only accepts Federal Reserve Corporation credits for Taxes, We do Not Have to, however it would need to be done at the State Level to have any meaningful effect.

How is he wrong? Everyone who tells me Dr. Paul is wrong can’t give a reason.

probably because they earn their living off the corrupt nature of our fiat currency with the full knowledge that it is a scam to steal the wealth from the middle class, which doesn’t have access to the newly printed money in the form of Federal Reserve Corporation credits which they use to purchase capitol goods with Free Money before the Devaluation occurs which takes about 2 years to trickle down to the rest of us folks. See Richard Nixon August 15 1971. Also I would strongly recommend reading “The Creature fron Jekyl Island” and “ A case against the Fed” or just about everything from Ludwig Von Mises.

We had almost 150 years without the Fed. The system was even more broke then than it is now. Personally, I think it would make more sense to abolish the rest of the federal government, and leave the Fed.

If Ron Paul is wrong on this, then Thomas Jefferson was wrong as well.

With the Fed it comes down to: Do you believe that the Government should select an elite to manage the economy or do you have faith in God and the American people?

"A private central bank issuing the public currency is a greater menace to the liberties of the people than a standing army...We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt."

Ron Paul is one of the only true statesman serving in congress. He is a true patriot, and seems to have intelligence, common sense, and a working knowledge of the U.S. Constitution.

Given that the ocean can now be crossed in a few hours, no (as long as the army’s first allegience is to the US Constitution rather than the Federal Government).

As staggeringly brilliant as the Founding Fathers were, it is no longer the 18th century. The obscene expansion of Federal power and the resulting socialist redistribution is of far more concern than tilting at the Fed windmill.
