Listening now. Two brilliant sages.
It’s like listening to a couple old friends shoot the breeze.

Was listening to WW earlier. He’s interesting. I just wish there was at least one conservative talker who could cast a critical eye on the Founders, instead of treating them like demigods. It’s hard for me to listen sometimes. How anyone can quote Madison’s “few and defined” powers nonsense without laughing is beyond me.

Ruh-roh.
Tom Sowell is “pessimistic, fighting off despair”.
But he does feel that if we can survive the Obama years, we will be better for it.

Those two are GREAT! In a fair world, they would have gone to D.C. and brought some badly-needed sanity to our government.

We had a good 140 year run, didn’t we? The 1787 Constitution plus Bill of Rights held up (Okay, less the Civil War) until the FDR Congresses. Downhill since.
The problem is not with the Constitution, but with the people. If the people gave a rip and elected constitutionalists rather than so many “progressives,” we wouldn’t have our current problems.
Madison, Franklin and Hamilton and surely others remarked that our Constitution is only suitable for a virtuous people. No piece of paper can protect our liberties; it is up to us.
