Only thing on TV right now is Brett Favre throwing touchdown passes interceptions to Green Bay.

No Basel Rathbone or Jeremy Brett. I don’t think the Holmes character was believable.

FYI, Martin Freeman, who plays Watson, has just been signed to play Bilbo Baggins in ‘The Hobbit’, which has FINALLY been given the green light.

No, in Ep 1, he appears to be as anti-sexual as he has always been portrayed in the past. (”No time for such foolishness” “I am married to my career”)

My wife and I really liked it.
It was a good update on the classic.
I have recommended to my son.

The chick constantly playing on her cell phone irritated me and Dr. Watson.

Jeremy Brett is the one you were thinking of. He was the definitive Sherlock Holmes in the ‘80s, replacing the ‘40s Basil Rathbone in the hearts of many. I can’t imagine a better Holmes, but the update may not be too bad. :)

This is off topic but Johnny Depp is playing in the new “Thin Man” movie. Are there any fans of William Powell, Myrna Loy and Asta?
I would love to know if it will be set in the 30’s like the classic movies and Dashiell Hammett series?
