Rampant overspending and over-taxing by the clowns in Austin, very little effort to control the borders, and this ditze wants to waste time with something that probably wouldn’t pass and that would be largely unenforcable in any event.

Simple question. How do they intend to decide if a dog is a pit bull or pit bull mix?

“If, however, the bull has had the habit of goring and the owner has been warned but has not kept it penned up and it kills a man or woman, the bull must be stoned and the owner also must be put to death.” Exodus 21:29

That should take care of most of the problem.

Nothing wrong with pit bulls. Pete the Pup got along fine with the child actors in the Little Rascals.

Its just the way they are trained, and if the individuals who train pit bulls to be vicious can’t own them, they’ll find some other dogs to abuse.

Pitbulls should be outlawed. They were bred to fight to the death, not to just defeat the other dog and establish dominance. Hence they can't be trusted as "pets". It took men a long time to develop them, to put together the 'perfect' combination of canines that would be the most aggressive beast out there, that would not quit in any fight, that would even forgo the natural canine instinct not to fight to the death in order to preserve the species. Even wolves, the progenitor of the canine species do not fight to the death. What is the need of a "pet" owner to have this unnaturally aggressive dog that is almost impossible to stop once it smells blood?

Screw pitbulls, and those who love them, like Michael Vic. Yeah, I know, some of them are "loveable pets" it's simply "all in how you train them". To those who believe this nonsense I say put your money where your mouth is, go walk up to a "well trained" pitbull that isn't yours, that doesn't know you, and offer him your hand. Maybe when he takes it off or tears at your body until the police show up and shoot him you'll finally get the message.

Why don’t these people do it the right way. Pit Bulls have always been a great breed until bad breeders decided to breed bad. Why don’t they go after them?

Then put the pit bull back where it began.

I don’t like pit bulls and I don’t like most owners of pit bulls that I have met. That said, such a law would be bad. It would not take long before it is interpreted to cover all canines Definition of a “pit bull” is a bit hazy and legally defining it would be hazy. It would eventually be stretched to cover any dog that offended someone or whose owner a neighbor has a grudge against.And then some judge would find that someone’s cat comes under the law.

As much as I hate those devil dogs, taking away a dog that’s popular with bad dog owners isn’t the best way to deal with an animal that’s used as a weapon rather than a pet. If they’re concerned about pit bulls so damn much, license ownership and only allow certified breeders to breed them.

I’ll dispense with the usual stuff and just say this;

I was surfing through cable the other night and came across a show about “Parolees and Pitbulls” or something like that. The work they were doing seemed to some good stuff, but they arranged some sort of support table at a local (dog?) show.

Anyway, they were selling all sorts of “gangsta” looking stuff about Pitbulls (shirts, signs, etc). Now, really, isn’t that the reason we’re in this mess in the first place? “It’s the owner, not the Pit” and all that? So, these guys are catering to and CREATING the exact image that is causing all these problems. Gangasta and tough-guy wannabees. They’re just causing the next spike in the Pit Bull abandonment/adoption cycle.

Retards.
