Anyone else spending Christmas Eve alone?
Christmas Eve 2010 | Skooz

Just wondering if anyone else out there is spending the evening alone. Not necessarily a bad thing. I'm sipping a cappuccino and taking in "A Christmas Story" in the old man cave. I'll be with family tomorrow, but as of tonight, it's my faithful Boxer and me. And Ralphie.

I don’t know how old you are, but I spent the first 4 Christmases, and Thanksgivings, after college (30 or so years ago) hundreds of miles away from home. I was very depressed during those days. Hang in there, it’s temporary and will get better. Merry Christmas!

Prayers for you PastorB. I’m older than you, but I had an episode of a TIA — happened after I stood up, also. CatScan negative and wore the holter, too. Best thing is to get attention right away. Mine was a form of a migraine, but there can be other reasons. You didn’t ignore it and that is the best. Let us know how things go. Freepers care.

I’m watching Ralphie...by myself. It’s raining and I’m loving it.

Nah, I walked away from the popular music scene in 1977. I’m a classical fanatic.

My first Christmas alone was spent at Fort Lewis just in time for the Christmas blizzard of ‘71. It was me, a few other young officers, some cold Kentucky fried chicken and a bottle of Jack Daniels.

I have no issue with Karajan, but Norrington at least observes Beethoven’s metronome markings. It makes for a different performance.

I just sat down at my piano and tried out that Rossini piece. It’s pretty good.
