Anyone else spending Christmas Eve alone?
Christmas Eve 2010 | Skooz

Posted on 12/24/2010 5:31:05 PM PST by Skooz

Just wondering if anyone else out there is spending the evening alone. Not necessarily a bad thing. I'm sipping a cappuccino and taking in "A Christmas Story" in the old man cave. I'll be with family tomorrow, but as of tonight, it's my faithful Boxer and me. And Ralphie.

I’m going nuts. Or have gone. God forgives. I can’t. Just can’t. My thoughts this evening are of the Christmas that was to be. A family Christmas that a family member worked to destroy. And did. Motives unknown.

Drinking Iron City Light here.

Looking at an uncooked 8 lb ham in wonderment for tomorrow. Never did this before.
I figure 3 hours at 350 degrees.

Went to 6 o'clock mass but coundn't get in. Does that count for me going or do I have to try again in the morning?

I’m not alone but I JUST got my computer back after being without for five days due to major meltdown. I came directly here to feel back home again. Merry Christmas!

My dad was trained by a blue jay about four years ago. He comes to sit on Dad’s hand to eat peanuts. A few of Blue Jay’s friends will share the wealth on the ground, but only the one sits on Dad’s hand to eat. He picks up one nut, shakes it, looks at Dad, picks up another, shakes it, looks...until he picks the one he wants and flies away.

I hope this little fellow lives forever!

The LORD bless you and keep you;the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.

Keep Calm. The Holter will tell them what is going on in EKG, and if there is any coronary ischemia. You are right to be concerned but to stay calm. Keep your blood pressure low, easy on any caffeine.

If you can, have someone there that can keep an eye on you.
The STR test for a full stroke:

S - ask the person to...Smile. :o)
T - ask the person to Talk - to speak a simple coherent sentence. “It’s a sunny day outside”
R - ask the person to Raise both arms.

Fail at any ONE of these? call 9-1-1.

Chew a couple of aspirin with water. Tell the EMS people you did. The can give you on the spot clot busters if that’s their protocol.

Prayers up! God Bless You!

What a wonderful sentiment. I’ve learned to cherish the time we have together because it can be snatched away in the blink of an eye.

Well, if you can’t forgive, then ignore. Otherwise it’ll eat a hole in you and mess up your New Year.

Some people are just horrible and delight in doing horrible things for the fun of it. Put them out of your mind. Don’t try to analyze it, just let it go and go prey on some chocolate.

Merry Christmas! Now is the time for a long winters’ nap.

Oh, it can take a lifetime. I was once in a “never forgive” conviction myself, but the only person it was hurting was me. Look, we’ve both been around a long time and I’m telling you, you’re the real goods, my FRiend, you’re above it, way above it, but you’ll probably be the last to realize it. A quick prayer and a tip of the glass your direction. Merry Christmas!

I add the booze as I’m pouring individual glasses. I don’t store the stuff with the likker in it.

I’m alone except for my pets. I’ll give them their presents in a couple of hours so I can (hopefully) sleep late in the morning.

Nope. No idea, although I’d bet he’s off until 2011.
