LOL. I bet the marrieds envy you at times.
This afternoon I was thinking about how nice it would have been to have a family, kids and all. As I closed the kitchen cabinet door, I felt blessed that I was solo because I could do what I wanted when I wanted and there is no one to complain about it. I never hear any nagging. Life is tough at times and somehow I manage.
I dislike Thanksgiving. The focus is too much family oriented and that poor turkey. Christmas is focused on our Savior and filled with beautiful music about Him. Soothing, comforting and loving. We're never alone. He is with us. Sing to The Lord with all your hearts!
God Bless us all!
Hubby passed away 20 years ago, I had one date a year later and decided it wasn't for me. I just didn't return his call that my answering machine caught..nice enought guy, but as you say, do what you want, when you want, clean house if it bothers you, wear your PJs until 5pm. Get up when you want, go to bed when you want, make meals when your hungry and not on schedule etc etc etc.
I had many good friends, travels with them etc. but alas, when you get into your 70's, they up and die on you...:O( I was the youngest...
With 5 kids and 13 grandkids, and lucky to love all my daughter in laws and my one son in law I am a happy camper...
