Ashton Kutcher is perhaps most famous for his elaborate practical jokes on fellow celebrities on MTV's Punk'd. But Twitter's most popular Hollywood star is now being lined up to star in the biggest sitcom on US television as the replacement for Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men.
Kutcher appeared to confirm the answer to one of the most speculated over questions in showbiz on Friday – who will replace Sheen following his all-too-public meltdown – with a Twitter message hinting at his role as the popular comedy's new lead man.
"What's the square root of 6.25?", Kutcher asked his 6 million Twitter followers. The answer – 2.5 – follows reports that he has all but signed a $1m-an-episode deal to replace Sheen.
Kutcher, who is married to the Ghost star Demi Moore, is widely expected to be unveiled as the show's new lead man as early as Wednesday, when CBS parades its new programming schedule in a glitzy presentation before advertisers in New York.

An improvement over Charlie that is for sure. I might give the show a try. I watched 21/2 men about twice in my life and never really enjoyed the show. Aston Kutcher is a mid western fellow who actually has some morals. Yes he married an older lady.....said morals not a need for a mother figure.....lol.
They picked the one actor who makes me even less likely to watch the show than Sheen.
I never got a sense of morality from Kuchner.

Kutcher is one of the celebrities who pledged allegiance to Barack Obama, in a Youtube video, at the time of the coronation. He can be very funny, and is more talented than Sheen, IMHO....but he is still a typical Hollywood liberal.
Pretty decent choice. Not that I watch the show or care. Kutcher is cute too.
I had never seen Kutcher on screen (TV or movie) until the other evening when we happened on the movie The Guardian (about Coast Guard swimmers.) I thought he did a decent job of acting, and the movie was better than I expected it to be.
I never got a sense of morality from Kuchner.
Certainly not saying he is a Saint or anything but compared to the rest of Hollywood he seems tame. He has not been to jail or anything that I am aware of. I think he is for Obama one FREEPER claims so maybe he is not as good as I thought. Still politics is just one aspect of a person. Bottom line, he is better than Sheen....lol.
Depending on how they modify some of the situational comedy, he may make it funnier with a less sleazy tone - with Sheen, you get the sleaze-ball acting as himself; with Kuchner, it may fly for another season or two.

I agree.
Say what you want about Sheen but he was brilliant on this show because all he had to do was be himself. Him and Cryer were perfect together. Kutcher will ruin the show and his movie work is flat out embarrassing.
