Hypothetical scenario......What if Governor Palin, doesn't run ?

I know this sounds a little out there, and I hope I don't get flamed (I'm putting on the safety suit anyway), but what if Sarah Palin doesn't run ?

I'm not saying she won't, I'm not hoping she won't, If she does, I fully intend to support her, but what if she does not run?

Who would you support in the primary then ?

Personally, I'd probably go with Michelle Bachman, but I know some would support Huckabee (personally, I'm not a fan of his), some would support Romney (and I will NEVER ever support him), others might choose Hermain Cain, or Governor Mitch Daniels, or Former Speaker Newt Gingrich or Congressman Ron Paul....

I'm interested, does anyone have a "back up" candidate in case Palin doesn't run ?

Real wrath of God type stuff. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

OK, now that you've described election day, what can we expect afterward?

I’m still not 100% convinced that Obama will be the Dem candidate.

History tends to repeat itself. What if 2012 is just like 2008 when the only choice you have is Obama (D) and Obama Lite (R)?

I think we need to flush the GOPOS socialist party. The term Republican is just as undesireable as Democrat. RINO should mean a good thing, like a TEA party patriot running as a Republican, but that party is too far gone for that. Everyone who wants to return this country to what made it great needs to support a 3rd TEA party candidate. Supporting a Republican will just be another Scott Brown joke on America.

There is every possibility that Sarah will not run. At this point I would guess it is fifty-fifty.

If the wrong fifty comes up then it is reasonable to develop alternatives.

Daniels
Kasich
Christie

would lead the pack with me.

But the Ultras hate everyone who is not 100% in accord with them and their conceptions of what conservatism means which makes it almost impossible to select a nominee without enormous rancor and disruption. Look at what happened in ‘08.

Basically all the worst parts of the Bible.

And grief, lots of grief.

And brimstone. No good worst-case is valid without a healthy supply of brimstone.

You believe being in district would eliminate or even diminish the influence of lobbyists? Not a chance.

The government we have is the one that the voters wanted. Until the beliefs of the People have changed the government won’t.

Apparently you don’t know what a socialist is or don’t care.

Those who try and divide the conservative forces and deflect them into third parties are working against the interests of the American People. So I question their motives and who they are REALLY working for only fools or plants propose such nonsense.

Forget the “non-politician” crap. That is like a non-baseball playing baseball player. You get into politics you are a politician.

It is a complete fantasy to expect amateurs to be able to beat professionals. And before I hear any crap about the Founding Fathers, even a cursory examination of colonial and revolutionary history shows that ALL of our Founders had deep and extensive experience in politics WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

Cain has ZERO chance to get the nomination. And a brokered convention means the most well known and influential politician will get it not an unknown amateur.

Reading of the obvious, Sarah isn’t even showing interest in running. Not a glimmer.

Oh? So, why did she just hire a new (and well-known) foreign policy adviser, and fire the establishment schlub who was working for her?

She's not operating on the same timetable or game plan as the also-rans.

“Also like Rubio.”

Rubio is admittedly not natural born, can’t be Prez.

wonder how you got the name arrogantsob ? lol

I know I’m whistling in the dark here. Still think it’s a sad state of affairs when citizen politicians have become extinct.
Perot almost made it if he wasn’t such a nut.
Trump could make it fun.
Eisenhower wasn’t a politician.
Still believe there could be someone in the woodwork.

Rubio is as ‘natural born’ as Obama.

like it or not precedent has been set.
