Obama is apparently thin skinned, given the response from the White House that MSNBC's Mark Halperin's words concerning Obama were "inappropriate" yet he can call Kanye West a jackass, and make fun of Special Olympics kids carte blanche.
Otoh, there seems to be something in the water at MSNBC: first Ed [Sergeant] Schultz gets suspended for popping off at the mouth (par for the course for him) and now Halperin is suspended, and both in almost rapid fire succession.
Who's next at MSNBC?
What was missed in all of the hubbub is that Halperin correctly pointed out that Obama has a proclivity to posture. Last time, Obama demonized doctors saying that they chop off peoples feet and charge exorbitant amounts for this, which, when investigated, turned out to be patently false. In this posturing setting, Obama went after tax breaks for private jet owners and such.
Who's next in line in this regard. I mean, he's gotta have a scapegoat...
Actually calling Kanye West a jackass was one of the high points of the Baraqqi presidency in my view.
Well, Halperin’s words WERE inappropriate.
Doesn’t excuse Obama, who is also often shockingly inappropriate, but this really shouldn’t be a partisan matter.
Ugly is ugly, and there’s way too much of it.
Whwn has Mr. “inappropriate” had anything to say about the vile names Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin have been called. This was mild in comparison.
Obama is thinned skinned yet expects others to be thick skinned. He is the one who tends to start the ugliness. He is what he is. And I’m not making this a partisan matter, even though you incorrectly brought partisanship into the equation.
Ever see the pic where Obama is sitting, and is leering at a Republican during a negotiation, with his middle finger propping up his head. Obama has done this more than once.

In tge end, in terms of inappropriateness, nothing comes close to what Obama said about Special Olympics kids. Yet Obama whines about Halperin. Go figure.....

Remember when that British kid sent him an e-mail and called him a prick? Obama got the kid banned from ever coming into the US. He’s so thin-skinned he’s translucent.
