Alleged Confectionary Attack Escalated From Verbal Argument
A Chicago woman was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery Sunday after police said she threw cupcakes at her husband and hit him over the head.
Dawn Montesdeoca, 60, is accused of tossing the treats at her 56-year-old husband in their home Saturday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
The fight started with a verbal quarrel, but escalated until Montesdeoca began hitting her husband over the head, police said.
After that, she reached for the box of desserts and tossed them at her husband's head and body, he told police. Several of the confections apparently hit their mark, as the man's head and shirt were smudged with icing when officers arrived, according to a police report. Her husband told police he was scared for his safety, although the Chicago Tribune reported he has been arrested three times since 2003 on battery or domestic battery charges. All of the charges were eventually dropped.
Hopefully the husband will want to drop the case for getting his just desserts.
Sweet!
Once the TSA gets their hands on this you can kiss bringing cupcakes on board a plane goodbye.
I thought we just did this thread, but I can’t find it.
Which really frosts me.
The original thread on this subject is hilarious. Hubby and I have been making fruitcake jokes ever since.

I did do a couple searches.
“That’s not a battery, officer, that’s a cupcake!”
Ah, you can never have enough cupcakes! :-)
If you use a fruitcake, you can be charged using a deadly weapon.
Don’t get all sugary sweet or I’ll have to report you to the Department of Homeland Defense Against Cupcake Terrorism.
“Captain, the boys down at the lab have determined that this was a marble-batter battery!”
No worries. Your article is not the same as the first one. And it’s worth sharing again. :)
She could also have been charged with batter.
But seriously, domestic violence is so one sided and the woman did physically hit him on the head before throwing cupcakes at him. Why women only get to cry domestic battery when they often are the escalators of situations and the stupidity of having to arrest someone (it’s idiotic zero tolerance non-think) it makes you never want to live with anyone else.
