My first and probably last vanity.
Picture a crowd of people gathered for a political rally. The speaker gives out the old bromide "Why are we here?" The crowd replies in a frenzy. "We want change!" Is this Occupy or a college campus? No, it's Free Republic. Let's face it, we all admire our favorite candidates in the Republican field. They all have their strengths and weaknesses, don't we all. The real problem is that they're unable to differentiate themselves from each other, in a defining manner. Considering the trampling of rights, unemployment, regulation, immigration, crime, education (lack of and cost of), corruption, lack of leadership, zero (he has to come last, because he's earned it), why is one of these candidates not really able to capture our desperate imagination? Some will say Cain has done this very thing. Would the majority of them have said the same thing 2-3 months ago? I think not. I think he's a better man, than I. And I truly mean that. But I don't sense the killer instinct that is needed right now. Cain is passionate, he's just not desperate. Desperation is where too many of us living. We're debating between Cain, Perry, Romney, Bachmann, Santorum, Gingrigh, Paul. It's great that we have such a diverse field to choose from and we still haven't made a decision. The right's version of diversity is reality. The left's is checking a box on a form. It will take a person willing to make unlikely political decisions. The left has torn this country usunder for many a year and many a way and it has to stop. The right has to show it's teeth, and if necessary use them. We need to draft Palin. I see no other option where we win back our country from the abject corruption we see daily reported on FR. There are many on this board who consider her a fraud. I never saw that side of her. My favorite study through my life has been military history. I've read of the most narcissitic people in the world over and over, generals and politicians. Ruthless, to the max. Of all the times I've seen her on TV I've never once sensed a need for political revenge. This, to me, is standard operating procedure for a politician. Never seen it from her. I can't think of anyone whom I'm not related to that I believe in their goodness and good intentions. No person can be all things to all people (cept Jesus) and maybe she rubbed people the wrong way. Isn't that normal? I, for one, believe she was put her for a reason, to be President of the United States. I want to re-institute the draft. Just for POTUS.
After the winter. Be patient.
The GOP situation has to get a lot worse. And it will.
Sorry if you do not agree with my worldly view. To be honest my comment was more directed more at the subject matter: "Sarah for president" then at you personally
She can't win. The sooner all Sarah worshipers realize that the sooner we can move on to someone who can. Also I am not "from" San Francisco as I stated to you previously.
I didn’t read your post since you didn’t bother to format it. As to the question in the title of the post the answer is no.
Sarah cannot be “drafted”. If she changes her mind at some point and decides to run great.
That’s my thinking as well.
The Democratic and Republican Parties have failed miserably in leadership, and the current group of high profile presidential candidates reflects that sorry state of affairs. If Christians would stop casting their votes for candidates who support abortion (including those who vote for Hyde Amendment which codifies some abortions), we could change the course of politics in America. Sarah Palin isn’t the answer.

Yeah well, I ain’t buggin’ her. But I just watched her speech in Florida and it’s hard to not still hope that an adult will get in the race.
Just finished watching Sarah P.’s Florida speech... Yeah, I miss her. She has gotten better, more focused, and if it’s possible, more personable.

His name is Herman Cain. How about we focus on the candidates that are rather then fantasizing about a “perfect” candidate
NO candidate will ever be perfect. if Palin were in the race she would be subjected to exactly the same sort of relentless hyper critical attention as the rest of the candidates.
Palin only LOOKS perfect by comparison because she is NOT in the race.

Speaking of Hannity and Sarah Palin, they are very close. Hannity really, really likes Sarah and has always defended her. Maybe a Hannity/Sarah ticket would be great. What a team.

If we are stuck with Romney come spring maybe she’ll reconsider. I sure hope so anyway.
Oh, yeah...the McCain thingy.
Her real problem was accepting the VP nomination of a dog, who walks on two legs. She propped this dog up and made him viable as POTUS. That decision has haunted her because she was then beholden to same dog, as a matter of party unity.
I am a Cain supporter, joined within hours of Palin bowing out. Cain is not vetted, Palin has been. If you think they’re done with him, you’re sorely mistaken.

If it is true that Palin could not be elected, under the conditions that will be prevailing in November 2012, we need to move on to plan B anyway.
