PRAXEN – DEFKALION GREEN TECHNOLOGIES GLOBAL PRESS RELEASE ————————————————————————————————–

Wednesday 30th November, 2011

Today, and through our company website, Praxen – Defkalion Green Technologies Global has disclosed its current work on Nickel and Hydrogen exothermic reaction using Chemically Assisted Low Energy Nuclear Reactions.

The provided Technical Specifications Sheet is a first preparation of our pre-industrial Hyperion product. This data has been tested with progress made towards the design of a final product ready for market entry in 2012.

Hyperion products will be introduced into the global market with applications for buildings, agriculture and industrial energy needs.

Beyond the completion of the final product with all necessary certificates, our company has three key objectives for 2012: 1. Agreements with companies for exclusive licenses according to country / territory

We have received interest in our license agreements from 850 companies from 60 countries. They have already received an invitation for testing our products on the basis of a license for their country. We expect to sign contracts in 2012 and have already started talks. 2. Third party independent tests for scientific purposes and advancement of theory

Praxen – Defkalion GreenTechnologies is a strong supporter of LENR technologies globally. Greece can become the global centre for R&D on LENR technologies. We have already received numerous requests from leading scientific authorities, academic institutions and national laboratories from key countries to conduct tests on our products. Our policy is to accept their requests, under agreed protocol, and to allow publication of their findings. The process of agreeing to dates for such tests depends on the availability of our staff and labs, keeping in mind that we run a business, not a technology show room. 3. R&D-based joint venture partnerships with companies in niche market applications

There are many applications that stand alone Hyperion products cannot service. In these cases, we will enter into joint venture agreements with companies that have specialized know-how and technologies in their field, but who will be able to utilize and capitalize on our technology to create entirely new products with ours. Examples of such partnerships have come from interested companies in the fields of marine propulsion, water desalination, off-shore drilling, trains, telecom towers, heavy vehicles, and micro energy sources. These agreements will be consistent with Praxen – Defkalion GreenTechnologies Global product development and R&D efforts.

Where can we find a link to independent test results proving it works? Oh, wait—we can’t.

SCAM.

*Ping* Well, I was wrong. As some of us discussed yesterday, if the Ecat is a scam it is a time-sensitive one. Based on a quick skim, it looks like they are declaring only that they are developing partnerships and outlining some specifications towards a future product launch. This is contradictory to the scam models (either Defkalion working secretly with Rossi, or trying to salvage their former cooperation in a scam).

So now I await the inevitable "this just proves it is a scam!" comments. I await your explanations as to how that would be the case...

LOL. You beat me. Of course, you don’t reference the press release itself where it does discuss 3rd party testing. Nor do you explain yourself.

Well, sort of hard for me to reference a broken link...I guess you didn’t click on your own link?

If there is a link somewhere to independent test results, please post it here in the thread.

Sorry, my bad (actually the ecatnews site link is what is broken). Here is the correct spec sheet link.

It is detailed but rough around the edges. (For example, there is an amusing typo for 'pressure sensor' on page 4 at the bottom).

From the Dekalion website forum:

Casey wrote: I've read too much drama in the past regarding steam and calibration as far as Rossi's e-cat goes. Could you allow gamma ray measurement tests that once and for all prove that a CF/LENR event is really taking place?

Defkalion GT: Yes

The design calls out 3 mm. of gamma ray shielding. I've always thought you wanted thick armor for gamma radiation. Can anyone knowledgeable comment on that? I have some vague ideas, but would appreciate feedback on that point.

That’s fine, it’s a brochure. Where are the independent test results?

I don't follow your reasoning.

I've been assuming that this is a investor scam. Rossi and/or Defkalion are trying to drum up publicity to get people to invest (either buying in to a "partnership", selling franchises or buying stocks). Issuing stock is perhaps the least likely option, since that exposes them to more oversight.

The key point is that they cannot release an actual product, nor can they allow a truly independent test of the device(s). If they do either one, they are either vindicated or proven to be liars.

As long as they avoid an open, independent test of the device(s), they can potentially keep bringing in investment money for years. I and others have documented how many different such scams have operated for 5, or even 10 years without collapsing.

This press release says nothing about any independent testing, nor does it identify any real, legitimate customers. It does brag about how many potential investors they have expressing interest.

I may be wrong about this being a scam. But I still haven't seen anything that excludes that possibility, and everything I've seen fits neatly into the mold of previous scammers.

I expect Rossi (and Defkalion) to find some excuse to avoid actually selling the device to real customers. They may come up with a fake customer, who is part of the scam, who will talk about how wonderful the E-Cat works. But I would be enormously surprised if a legitimate customer or tester will show up.

Just to clarify this, if Rossi's goal was to be vindicated, he could have modified any of this public dog & pony shows to actually prove that his device works.

The fact that for a year he has steadfastly refused to do so is why I believe that he can't do so (because his gadget doesn't really work).

The discussion I had with other Freeper(s) yesterday on the time sensitivity related to purchasers of Ecats. I agree with you that if this press release is part of a scam focusing on investors, not buyers, then it makes more sense to have a product release date out in the fuzzy future.

One comment I'd have is that if Defkalion and Rossi have really broken ties and this is Defkalion's attempt to salvage their part of the scam, then they must have a sense of time urgency even now, since they can't control Rossi and don't know when he might be unmasked. (Which would unmask Defkalion effectively as well.)

So, in my scam hypotheses, today's press release encourages me in the direction that Defkalion has not broken ties with Rossi (or more likely, whomever is running things behind Rossi), and they are operating together.

Anyway, I'm still going to have fun going through the spec sheets. Someone did a lot of work to put it all together, and if it turns out real I want to be familiar with it. :-)

Here's one potential scenario: Rossi and Defkalion are secretly working together. Each one is collecting money from investors. They each start suing each other over various and sundry issues. The law suits drag out for years. They will use the lawsuits as excuses for not actually producing devices for sale.

Ultimately, the "investments" are "wasted" in legal fees and lost business opportunity, which would be largely imaginary. Eventually, they fold up the operation and pocket whatever money is left. In the industry, this is known as the "blowoff". The key to a successful scam is to walk away with the sucker's money without letting the sucker know he has been scammed.

Man o Man would I love to have to eat my words and have this be real. That prototype is the perfect size for my needs.

I still don’t believe it but it appears they are going to allows third party tests which should either prove it works or prove it’s a fraud. It’s about time a third party gets their hands on one of these.

I wonder why the Hyperion units will have a GPS as standard equipment?

Ecatnews is speculating the 3 mm. gamma ray shielding may be a typo. But it can't be much thicker or the total mass for the units would have to be a lot higher. And the 3 mm. figure is found twice in the document. (They are also saying the Defkalion server is down at the moment.)

There will be a non-hazardous self-destruct mechanism to protect against tampering.

There will be a 6 second pre-heat cycle with a 6 amp heater to get the Hyperion running.

It will be equipped with a pair of USB ports.

There will be some minor power consumption for pumps, controller, etc. The unit willl have a couple mundane backup batteries but I think it is meant to be plugged in.

The single reactor kernel is rated at 5-11 kW (still being developed), with a mass of 19.5 kg.

Max power consumption to be <200 Wh. COP better than 1:25.

Hydrogen and powder recharge every 6 month (like the Ecat).

There are a good many promises (explicit or implied) here about forthcoming data and testing. Defkalion was quick to say there would be measurements of gamma radiation allowed on their website, which would prove LENR activity is taking place (which would be close to validating this whole thing).

It doesn't, I was relying on one of the posters who posted an excerpt of the press release. They're going to allow testing of Gamma Ray emissions. That's a red herring, test its efficiency and settle this issue once and for all.

From the tale end of the Hyperion spec sheet:

Rats... can't copy directly from the document due to password protection. Anyway, it discusses the evidence they have for LENR reactions in their reactors. While stating they are an industrial company not a science outfit, "...we do recognize the importance of scientific knowledge for further scientific research and product development. For this reason we have decided to invest on [sic] a new series of on-line real-time mass spectrometers, designed specifically for LENR and Hyperions, that we are developing and testing in Greece. It is our intention to publish all relative measurements in scientific journals and events [?], when our tests are finally concluded."

Well, that sounds good, as far as it goes.

True, but for some reason it reminded me of Steorn (see "Jury Process").

They invited an independent group of scientists to test their "free energy" system. The group's unanimous verdict was that the device didn't produce any energy.

That was two years ago, and Steorn is still around, still collecting investor's money and still not producing a product.

Well, I can't help that. And if the independent testers said it was real you'd still have skeptics for a long time insisting otherwise.

But if the independent testers turn a thumbs down on it, then at least anyone paying attention should be satisfied and would lose interest. At that point you'd only have the 'true believers' hanging on.

Ignoring the fact that the actual specifications don;'t match the initial outline, we find the following:

2. Coolant/heating management
   f. Controls and safety/operational electronics
       Energy Consumption <10mWh

I think potential investors and purchasers should be concerned that the technical people involved don't seem to know that a mW is a rate of energy consumption, not "mWh".

I am sure that some will say, "well, this is just a first draft, subject to correction". That simply ignores the real question, "Why release something so preliminary when it simply reveals the ignorance and incompetence of the company"? The only rational explanation is that they are desperate to create the impression that they have a product.

Assuming that they meant "10mW", by the way, that would be the amount of power consumed by a single light emitting diode. That's some pretty inpressive design for controls, safety, and operational electronics.
