The only time we ever visited a Sonic, my wife wanted to burn the place down after our experience. When we got back to the motel, we found they got the order wrong. My wife, who is not slow to report wrong orders, called and asked for an explanation and an apology. They refused. Nothing upsets my wife more than a fast food restaurant screwing up the order and then refusing to apologize for it. So everytime we pass a Sonic, I have to speed up so my wife’s temper doesn’t expode. Actually, the food was pretty decent for a fast food place. But I don’t think we’ll be visiting another one in the foreseeable future. And if you ever see a very small person sprinkling liquid out of what looks like a gasoline container around a Sonic, it might be my wife.

Not sure to be honest. It was a while ago. I think it had to do with corporate political contributions and Sonic was in the D column. In the long ago spat between the Dixie Chicks and Toby Keith most here were on Toby’s side but he turned out to be dim supporter too. Being a good ole boy don’t necessarily make you a conservative or even an R.
