More signs of the Zombie Apocalypse. Actually not. It's really pretty typical of the mentality of those tribes.
You ought to get a copy of The Peace Child by Don Richardson, one of the first missionaries in that area.
In it he documents their liestyle before the missionaries arrived by following the lives of some of the members of the various tribes. It's not a long read and is pretty interesting in how he relates in the problems of presenting the gospel to people for whom Judas is the hero for his betrayal of Jesus.
