Like as the lusting Sodomites trying to force their way into Lot's house - and who would have killed them had not the angels intervened - the nature of homosexuality forcing sex into passages it does not belong in, while seeking to silence that condemns it, even by changing it, as it cannot stand any condemnation of homosexual relations.

This effort extends to Bible passages, and thus the anonymous editors who produced the "Queen James Bible" changes 8 texts which condemn homosexual relations, rendering them otherwise than their intent, like as a transgendered operation changes gender to match disordered desire.

While the QJV does not engage in the usually sodomite sophistry of making David and Jonathan, Ruth and Naomi, Daniel and Ashpenaz, the Centurion and his servant, and even the Lord and John into homosexual lovers, I suspect that could be planned for a later revision.

The Lord Himself specified that it was male and female that God sexually joined together, uniquely sanctioning this by marriage, relegating all other sexual relations as fornication.

Note that the largest contributor to the boy scouts, UPS and Intel, have been intimidated into dropping support for the Boy Scouts, and with the military and 19 states sanctioning homosexual unions, persecution will increase, and thus believers must continue to seek to overcome evil with good, not becoming like homosexual activists in their hate, but refusing to compromise with it, while calling all to salvation thru repentance toward God and faith in the risen Lord Jesus to save by His sinless shed blood. Anyone ever notice how it's always the Christian/Jewish Bible/religion that's always bashed or tried to change?

I never see the sodomites try to re-write the Queeran (they can use that as the name for it, if they'd like), or any other religion. I never see attempts to attack the koran (yes, lower-case) by researching "banned" writings from it, like they attempt to do with the Bible. I never see attempts to discredit, via "scholarly research" or archaeological work, what is written in the muslim book.

I wonder why that is. Jesus said we would be hated for our belief in him and God. Hatred has been directed toward those who believe in the one, true God since forever. It is how Satan works.

Acts 8.33 (humiliation) is a quotation from Isaiah 53 on the Suffering Servant. In the KJV of Isaiah it has "prison" but Acts is quoting the Septuagint rendition where the word is tapeinosei which can be translated as humiliation, abasement, low estate, lowliness.

It’s too late for these who have changed God’s Word:

“Ye shall not add unto the word which I commanded you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Followup Baalpeor and see how it is used as a model for God’s judgement and wrath. Compare with Revelation 22:18,19 where if one adds to or takes from the “words of the boole of this prophecy (the Revelation of Jesus Christ)”, he is subject to the 2nd death (eternal damnation). Some argue that Deuteronomy 4:2,3 carries with it the same eternal damnation, not just the 1st death.

Changing God’s Word is a death sentence. But then again the vile affections of the Sodomites are prima facie evidence of their being given up by God (Romans 1) and damned.

I paraphrase this from a comment I made on Amazon, which a few folk have been kind enough to rate.

All you really need to know about the "Queen James Bible" is that it is basically the King James Version with eight verses changed. Now, there's nothing wrong with re-interpreting the Bible (millions of preachers worldwide do it every Sunday), and there's nothing wrong with re-translating it (because language does not stay still), but there has to be an academic justification for the changes made. You can't just alter Biblical text because you happen to personally disagree with certain elements. That is, effectively, a form of censorship (if not blasphemy). As the article adroitly shows the reasoning behind the changes is - very weak, to say the least.

As the only difference is eight verses, an insulting libelous title and a snazzy cross design in Gay colors, the simple truth is that most of the people who will buy this book are only doing so to make a statement on the subject of Homosexuality. In general terms there's nothing much wrong with making statements either, but that is not what the Holy Bible is for. You are meant to read it, ponder on it, and be transformed by the renewing of your mind. And if the translation you are reading has altered the text to your pre-decided notions beforehand, there's not much chance of that happening is there?
