A graphic designer is suing a hotel after claiming he was turned down for a job there because he is a Christian.
Jamie Haxby said he felt victimized and persecuted after allegedly being told he could not design adverts for the Essex venue due to his faith.
Haxby, a regular worshiper at his local church, says manager Celie Parker apologized for inviting him to the interview after discovering he was a committed Christian.
He claims he was then told he would not be considered for the role as his beliefs could upset atheists working there.

Looks like tolerance only goes one way, here. You cant work here; youll upset the atheists: What hotel told job seeker after discovering he was a committed Christian
Would be legally actionable in the USA
Having gone through the EEOC myself, I can tell you that unless one has a recording of being told why one cannot work at a place, it is a waste of time to even try. I spent a whole year fighting the system, proved the prospective employer to be lying over and over again... and at the end I was told I had not proved my case.
But the deed is done and this unconstitutional law is on the books and the courts have backed it so now EVERYONE has to live with it (except the US Congress that exempted themselves from this horrible law).
Not just Congress but also the Supreme Court is exempt.
Relax, thank the Almighty, and go work for some place that doesn’t let the rooms by the hour...
can we use the same ‘logic’ when atheists or liberals come for a job?
after all, they upset any religious/spiritual/conservative types
Not for much longer though...
Reminds me of an old Playboy cartoon from 45 years ago.
In a European cathedral the tourists are all over the place looking up at the frescoes.
An old woman walks in, falls to her knees and begins to pray.
A guard comes over and says....”Please madam! You are bothering the tourists!”
The list of groups you CAN discriminate against includes Christians, Jews and smokers.
The list of groups you can’t includes felons.
Thanks Olog-hai.
more “taller ants”
Yeah, must not unset the atheists by being a Christian.
I wonder if those atheists would also be upset by a Muslim.
