In an accident in which a semi plunged into a ravine near the Ohio Valley Mall, a fight broke out between a mall security guard and a woman taking photos of the accident. Note that the security guard is the aggressor.

Mall cops are in a bad position from the start. No power, no authority, but supposed to enforce a bunch of rules.
Not that it excuses bad behavior on their part. I’m sure somebody’s gonna get arrested over this.

Bwahahaha! The biker chick looked like she might have had some jujitsu training - she executed a leg sweep takedown and looked like she was going for the armbar. Security guard deserved worse.

Absolutely. I’m not sure if they were on public or mall property. But I don’t know if even then the mall cop could stop people from taking pictures.

Actually, I don’t see that is clear. They could be on the edge of the mall parking lot and therefore on private property.
If it’s private property, I guess the mall has the right to prohibit photography.
It was pretty stupid that she did not, at least in the video, seem to make any attempt to explain why taking pictures was against the rules or the law. If it was.

A mall cop has authority on the mall’s property, which includes the parking lot.

Besides having my cell phone camera at the ready, I have now installed a dash cam in my car.
Not looking for trouble, but want something recorded if it goes down around me.

Two thoughts:
1) It would have been better if they had oiled themselves up first. :-)
2) If blacks were involved, it would have been 10-1 against the mall cop (who deserved it) instead of letting the two sort things out.
(Let’s see how long this stays up.)
