Why do I need to list this person’s credentials? You got a problem, you chase it down.

You're the one with a problem because you are claiming that this is a big deal for Rossi, but you don't even know the credentials of some of the people listed as authors.

Until then, like in basically every other scientific endeavor, the person’s credentials are assumed to be worthwhile.

Getting a "report" listed on arXiv isn't necessarily scientific, so all you've got is an assumption.

When Rossi was testing his own and wouldn't let the witnesses touch anything, and was pouring the "coolant" down the drain, you're right, the scientists didn't test for that.
