Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a grassroots organization of more than 100,000 members, issued the following statement regarding the recall election results in Colorado:
The gun lobby may have won this local battle, but they will not win the national war. The National Rifle Association purposely called this recall election in Colorado just a year before the regular election cycle to ensure voting obstacles and low voter turnout. This reckless desire to remove legislators from office in an off-election year cost Coloradans more than $500,000 an egregious waste of taxpayer dollars.
From the outset, this recall was designed as a tool of intimidation funded by the gun lobby. What a ridiculous temper tantrum by a bunch of bullies moms know them when we see them . . .
Fortunately, the recalls do not impact the new gun laws signed into law earlier this year by Gov. Hickenlooper. The Colorado state legislature did the right thing by passing common-sense gun laws, requiring background checks for all gun buyers and limiting magazines to 15 rounds. This recall doesnt change those laws laws that will continue to protect Colorado families from senseless gun violence.
As moms, we are sad, angry, and more determined than ever to stand with those who stand for gun sense. There will be dozens, maybe even hundreds of elections next year, and we will organize and vote for lawmakers who support common-sense gun laws like background checks. Moms will stand with those lawmakers who stand with us, and we will not back down until gun laws are strengthened in every state in this nation.
That is a lie.

That is a lie.
There is no truth in these people, not about who the players were, where the funding came from, or any of the particulars about the guns the legislation is attempting to control. In truth, the gun control side had more funding than the freedom side by a 6:1 proportion, inclding $350,000 from Bloomberg of New York, and it still wasn't enough. David slew Goliath here and Goliath's Mom is crying phony tears.
These “Moms” are allowed by the MSM and the left (er, “progressive”) to demand action. The rest of us must not take any action at all.
This doesn’t forbid people like Piers Morgan from hiring armed security guards.

As well as the first crack in the wall vis a vis progressive politics.
Since Chitcago leads the nation in gun deaths, why aren’t these ninnies protesting in the St. Trayvon hoods of the windy city?

There, fixed it.
Can’t wait for the Jack Booted Mommies to come and break down my door.
The MDAfGSiA. Wow, that just flows off the tongue, don't it?
Can they taste those S-O-U-R G-R-A-P-E-S?
So many fallacies in these moms’ position: appeal to emotion; ad hominem; judgmental language; proof by verbosity; argument from repetition; pathetic fallacy, et cetera.
These misguided “moms” stand against the facts of life, against the lessons of history, and against the security of their children.

How much did the attempted Wisconsin recall "cost the taxpayers"? Or does the Left not care about that one, as it was their baby?
A successful recall is not a waste of money. The failed attempted recap of WI gov. Scott Walker, now THAT was a waste of money. I somehow missed the “mom”s press release against THAT fiasco.
The article is at the pro-gun blog, "The Truth About Guns".
ssssshhhhh.... nobody mention that the recall legislation was passed by Colorado Democrats without one single Republican vote.... sssshhhhhhhhhh
The only name associated with this piece is Robert Farago. Sure sounds like a mom to me, right?
Molon Labe Mommies!
Don’t have somebody do your work for you.....come and get em.

“Women like this makes me want the 19th amendment to be repealed.”
I know more than a couple of women who are ready to give up their right to vote if the 19th is repealed.
When there are women out there that can’t wrap their heads around why most women act, think, or feel they way the do, I don’t feel as bad about why I can’t figure them out.
