One can dream....
In before the “cars don’t need software!!!11eleventy!!!” crowd.
Never bought one, never will.
Rented one once. Sucked.
Your brakes now depend on software.
Remember Windows Vista?
Think about it.
A rheostat and analog brakes will fix your recall problem(s).
Chrysler Auto Workers fired after Wolchek investigation are back on the job
As with GM, I never want to see the inside of another Chrysler dealership.
I have to admit - the V6 Pentastar engine is a good power plant. And I do like the looks of Chrysler products. Have you looked at Fords lately? The Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, and on and on. All ugly as hell with that trout mouth grill.
That being said. I agree with you. No Chrysler - No way.
Always had Mopars, always will. Toyota has far more recalls (look it up).
Currently own a 2000 Chrysler Concorde (104k miles) and a 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T.
It never fails to boggle my mind that someone can put 8000(?) miles/year on an auto, and suggest that it is “sound,” mechanically. Heck, I put 250 miles on my car just by looking at it.
Don’t have a Chrysler truck or SUV, but do have a Town and Country van. We love it except for an electronic glitch that causes the transmission to clunk when changing gears. It was recalled for that reason and supposedly fixed, but has recurred. Doesn’t always happen, but is very annoying and we’ll have to take it back to the dealer (who isn’t that close to use) and get it “fixed” yet again.
Too bad Chrysler doesn’t have transmissions as reliable as the original TorqueFlite. Those were reputedly unkillable.
BTW, both were built in Canada, not by the UAW.
nt to say...wouldn’t do that...
It’s a car I will keep for a lifetime.
Not entirely true. An old Marine friend of mine from work (rest in peace) had a Toyota truck, the larger one. They had to replace the entire frame, which was prematurely rusting out on them. Major. They must have forgotten to e-dip them.
Every LH car I’ve ever had has gone 200k miles. Sure they needed normal crap. Had four, only one needed a catalytic converter so I scrapped it. The Concorde I got had 100k when i bought it, it’ll go another 150k with regular repair and maintenance.
The Challenger sees as few miles as possible. No issues. Yeah, it’s got a Hemi.
government has sovereign immunity, chrysler doesn’t. :-)
