Robert Griffin III has left the Washington Redskins game after getting hit while throwing an interception late in their game against the Broncos.

With Washington trailing 38-21, Griffin dropped straight back and was hit hard by Denver nose tackle Terrance Knighton. The ball floated up in the air and was intercepted by safety Raheem Moore.

That’s actually BETTER than using your stadium for Obamacare rallies.

Dallas lost yet another close game today that they should have won because of Jason's poor clock management and his propensity to play not to lose rather than play to win.

We will probably still disagree about Jerry Jones but I think you're right about Jason Garrett. I had high hopes for him when he was made the coach and I did like him during his days a backup QB for the Boys.

The post-game show on The Ticket (local sports station) dissected the final few moments of the game. One of the hosts, Donovan Lewis, and I were on the same wavelength -- that holding call on third down set things up perfectly for the Lions. I knew it was over then.

Norm Hitzges, the program's main host, opined that a kneel down on third would have been a better, safer call followed by a punt on fourth down. Points weren't the objective in the waning moments -- leaving Stafford (a former Highland Park Scot) with no more than 25 seconds would've been more prudent. Then again, he still may have crafted another fantastic game-winning drive.

Yes, Jones handled the Tom Landry firing in a very clumsy manner

BINGO!

but they later got past that.

Not me.

Also, he over-played his hand when he had the Cowboys playing in Little Rock and making jokes about "buying Texas."

The guy is an arrogant jerk and proves cash can't buy class!

I don't think most Giant fans are really thinking we are going to win the division.

The Cowboys will likely take it.

Why just look at the final minutes?

How many times did they run and run and run, with their 2nd, 3rd and 4th string RB’s in a totally predictable way??

I think the NFL forces that on Jones. If he would go rogue, like he did in the early days of his ownership, I think Jones wouldn’t do that. That said, I don’t like it either but he does contribute to the military and a very visible booster of the Salvation Army.

I don’t think anyone questions his business ability, but he is a lousy GM!

We don’t dis RG3, he’s a Conservative African American. But his throwing ability isn’t up to snuff right now. He made his bones running and they won’t let him do that anymore. So if Shanahan wants a throwing offense he needs Cousins.

Against the Cowboys’ defense playing prevent, Stafford probably would have only needed 20 seconds the way Megatron was carving them up.

Lest anyone think I'm zealous about Jerry Jones, I agree with what you stated. My opinion is that's a very good owner but a bad, overly-meddling General Manager. Nevertheless, as a human being, I certainly place him far above extreme leftists like Robert Kraft of the Patriots and Dan Rooney, whom I mentioned earlier in this thread. And, having Jerry Jones as an owner sure beats the Muzzie Shahid Khan of the Jaguars.

Griffin is also a Christian. Liberals hate him for that and the fact that he grew up in a military family. As if that weren't enough, playing for Baylor made the leftists crazy since Ken Starr (yes that Ken Starr) is the president of that Southern Baptist university.

Agreed. The QB who has really surprised me this year is Alex Smith in KC. He seems to be having a stellar year.... good for him

I don’t like coaches like Garret who constantly hide their face behind a play card on the sideline.
**********************
Garrett doesn’t do that this year, as the offensive plays are being called by another coach up in the booth. Garrett just wears a headset to keep in touch with what is being called and what the other coaches are telling him.

btw... Coaches that do cover their mouths with the play card learned long ago that the opposition was using scopes and zoom lenses to read their lips as they called the plays. After comparing the play occurred to what was called, they then could warn the defense of what was coming whenever that play was called again.

I’m a lifelong Broncos fan but I like RG3 and was stunned to see how badly he got hammered. He was knocked to the ground 18 times! And most of those were one of those deals where one or two 300 pounders ran into him at full speed and then landed on top. Never seen anything like it. I actually felt sorry for the guy.

As an owner he is first rate, he wants to win and spends the money to do so.

Heh, very good. Hadn’t seen that one.

Up here in New England, we have taken to calling Danny Amendola: “Danny Onthemendola”

I like the guy immensely when he plays, but...the guy is tough as nails and brittle as glass.

Thanks for clearing that up.

But all I can remember was a lot of trash talking between the two being reported.
