With this week being Thanksgiving, I'd thought I'd pick a film about the importance family: Walt Disney's 1960 version of Johann David Wyss' classic adventure novel.

The book is much better. The movie was a disappointment (I own a copy on VHS.)

Just think what a 2013 remake would look like

A
wonderful movie.
A true "family film" of the kind that simply is not made anymore.

The father would be a complete idiot and functionally incompetent. They’d work a homosexual couple into the mix and instead of pirates they would be attacked by Christian missionaries.
Does that about cover modern Disney/Hollywood?

Don't forget all the preachy environmental messages as they preserve the pristine island.

Ok, ok...loved that movie as a kid....
*sigh* ....and James McArthur!!!
And the Tree House was a favorite place in Disneyland...
Alas, it is no more.....

Sad but true. Today’s movies may be slicker but the cultural marxism they espouse is a turn off. And every anti-father message is not only an attack on dads and men in general but ultimately the Heavenly Father Himself. That’s why I love movies made prior to the Hays Code being abolished in the mid to late 1960s.

Under the importance of family and survival, here’s one that’s more than likely tame compared to what is coming soon: “Panic in the Year Zero” (1962).

And still a lot of “Conservative-Christians” enrich those who make this garbage. When we criticize them we're told to “lighten up, it's just a movie.”
They end up filling their kids minds with godless filth and then they wonder why their kids grow up and reject Christian-Conservative values.
