Lines to get on the new Harry Potter ride at Universal Orlando Resort were more than seven hours long on opening day Tuesday. Fans began lining up before dawn for the public opening of the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley attraction, modeled after the London shopping district for wizards that is featured in Rowling's book series. The area quickly filled to capacity, leading to staggered admissions into the self-contained attraction, employees handing out tickets with return times, and according to one visitor the creation of a nap zone in the waiting area for sleepy visitors in line.

I registered with Pottermore but they don’t agree with me about my user name and password. The gateway to get into their “have you forgotten your password” world is barred by one of those “type these two words” except that there are not two words but only three or four numbers. If you try too many times they ban you. I love the books but loath the organization. I do however, want to visit Universal Studies and see the attraction. Not in the summer though.
Can’t think of anything worse than waiting on line for 7 hours in Orlando summer heat and humidity.
WE ARE DOOMED.
Please join me in praying that these same morons WILL NOT wait more than 7 minutes in a line on election days!!!!
I was there a couple of years ago and rode the Harry Potter ride. Made me sick as a dog.
Apparently Rowling released a short story about Harry et al attending the 2014 Quidditch World Cup. *yawn*
7 hours standing in line. Dem voters.
If I had plenty of money I would open “The Grand Wizarding World of Robert Byrd” park in West Virgina. Haven’t got past putting up an eternal burning cross at the entrance but I’m sure the ideas will come.
The spurt of new attractions recently built at Disney and Universal has benefited the Orlando area economy through construction spending and additional tourism. That in turn has boosted the reelection prospects of Florida’s Governor Rick Scott, a Republican.
7 hours wait. My goodness, these folks are really pin-headed.
I think it is here in it’s entirety..

I wonder if I'm the only one here who waited in line for LOTR's Trilogy Tuesday in my hobbit garb..Ditto for when the props and costumes, and oh, so handsome dead Boromir in a boat came to Houston.
Apparently, the line is more virtual than real, with numbers issued and scheduled so that those in line are free to do other things for most of that time.
