I personally think the water came from various sources. Plus there’s the fact that 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko is a very short term comet and probably doesn’t represent all comets well.

The amount of water on the earth’s surface alone makes it pretty obvious that it did not come from comets. There aren’t enough comets out there. Besides, where do comets get their water that earth couldn’t also get it from?

So just because one comet is this way means we can close the book?

The comet theory seems too simple to me. It will be complicated and so far out (LOL) that those who discover it will have to admit it was the hand of the Creator. The clue is in Genesis 1

Then God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. 8 God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

9 Then God said, “Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10 God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good.

Contrary to popular belief, all comets were not created equal......

"We were looking to measure a certain particle called dueterium," said Alexander

And if that doesn't explain things, then try trioterium or perhaps quarteterium* ....

There was a recent article about how after the Big Bang there was a rather long time (millions of years) when the temperature between the planets was closer to what we would call room temperature as the initial energy of the Big Bang waned towards the current 4 Kelvin.

No telling what sorts of combinations of elements could come about and end up on the surfaces of planets if the space between planets and galaxies was so hospitable.

Everyone knows that when the temperature on mars became too cool from the SUVs we pumped all the water here to Earth.

fountains for the deep comes to mind

And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. 6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. (Genesis 2:5-6).

And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. (Genesis 7:10-11).

Oops, the molecules of H2O on 67P are not the right mix of light and heavy water to be the source of Oceanic water on Earth. . . but then, that was predicted by proponents of the Electric Universe. H2O found on comets and in their comae are essentially created in the high energy plasma from Oxygen encountering the Hydrogen ions of the solar wind and combining in to OH and H2O. As Dr. Jessica M. Sunshine, lead scientist for the Deep Impact mission to Comet Tempel 1 said:
"In the Deep Impact data we're essentially watching water molecules form and then dissipate right in front of our eyes." Dr. Sunshine said her first reaction to the M3 data was skepticism.

Again, the Electric Universe predictions are being validated, but the orthodox Gravity driven Universe Cosmologists will not admit it. — Ping

This is funny. So water emanates from certain classes of rock and Earth is composed of rock.

When do I get my degree?
