When a dog would come after me on one of my daily training runs, barking at me like he wanted a piece of me, I learned to simply turn and run directly at them with my hands up, yelling at the top of my lungs and the dog would stop and turn, running away with their tail between their legs. They had met their “match.”, so to speak.
