Has Stanford University found a cure for Alzheimer's disease?
The Telegraph ^ | 12/08/2014 | By Sarah Knapton, Science Editor

Alzheimer's could be prevented and even cured by boosting the brain's own immune response, scientists at Stanford University believe.

Researchers discovered that nerve cells die because cells which are supposed to clear the brain of bacteria, viruses and dangerous deposits, stop working.

These cells, called 'microglia' function well when people are young, but when they age, a single protein called EP2 stops them operating efficiently.

Now scientists have shown that blocking the protein allows the microglia to function normally again so they can hoover up the dangerous sticky amyloid-beta plaques which damage nerve cells in Alzheimer's disease. The researchers found that, in mice, blocking EP2 with a drug reversed memory loss and myriad other Alzheimer’s-like features in the animals.

“Microglia are the brain’s beat cops,” said Dr Katrin Andreasson, Professor of neurology and neurological sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine.

“Our experiments show that keeping them on the right track counters memory loss and preserves healthy brain physiology.”

You need to read up on this!

True Alzheimer’s usually kills within 6-8 years.

The US govt has over 100 trillion in unfunded liabilities going forward. Now that’s one hell of a hole they’ve dug us into. No wonder they don’t want us to figure out what they’re up to.

You can’t be looking very hard!

Like every effective product, there are numerous shills trying to shoot it down, but a careful reading of comments on all the sites where it is discussed should clear the fog.

The false gripers are easy to spot, with their outrageous claims, that if were true, would have caused the product to be removed from the market.

And then there are those that comment that it hasn’t helped them, but then go on to list all the ways that it has. It is rather amusing to read through the comment sections.

That’s true, at least the SS problem gets partially cured by attrition.

If this product produced as advertised, it would be all over the mass media news programs. Like I said, I have yet to see one example of anyone cured by this product.

Depends on how you define “cure” doesn’t it?

I didn’t say it doesn’t kill often within that time frame. But the symptoms can first manifest themselves at any age past 30. Early-onset is defined as pre-65. Agreed there can be other causes for dementia; very commonly. My mother has had noticeable symptoms probably for three years, although she still looks 70 and is otherwise in excellent health. As I mentioned, her function and MMSE scores have definitely improved with the Rx medications (also curcumin).

Nonsense!

Cures that work are buried as quickly as possible.

A perfect example is Lane Laboratories’ “Skin Answer,” That the FDA actually admitted that couldn’t be sold because it does absolutely cure all forms of skin cancer.

Cure as in one day you have it, the next day you don’t.

Get her on 3 oz per day of coconut oil. That is the first thing to go with because it can only improve all of her health issues.

But for the investment of $120 you can try her for two months on Prevagen extra strength. For most just one month shows visible improvement.

If you are expecting a magic potion, Go elsewhere.

Improving any body function takes time and effort.

With the internet, you think they could keep this a secret? Mayhap if we only had mass media to contend with I could agree.

All It would take is one family that had a member cured with any product, be it this one or another, and it would be all over the internet. You can’t stop the internet, at least not today.

The most amusing thing about those product comments sections is seeing the exact same testimonials, verbatim, on different websites for similar products sold by different companies.

TY, I will research. But, are there any records that indicate that anyone has been “cured”?
