Love that!

You wouldn’t by chance have a link to that reference?

And so....just what in the heck do you think should be done?

I already said what should be done. Amend Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 to read "three fourths of the State legislatures" instead of "two thirds of the Senators present." I would also amend the Article VI Supremacy Clause to make clear that any treaty whose enforcement exceeds the enumerated powers of the Constitution is immediately void. You might think that such is already the case, but with the way the clause is worded, maybe not. It is an ambiguous grammar.

This matter is hugely important and not restricted just to the Second Amendment. Every environmental law on the books rests on treaty power. I suggest you read that article.

“Pale blue helmets are my first target.”

Yeah, but that’s not really much of a challenge. I believe that a group of civil war reenactors could take the UN’s “best”; a Chicago street gang could take on an average bunch of them.

There is no value added in your recommendation. “Amend Article blah blah....”

There is a big difference between rote academic pondering and practicality. Frankly, you’re wasting my time.

Oh, so your plan is to give up and cower in your foxhole. Good luck with that. You must not care about what you hand over to your kids.

...anyone who knocks on my door about it will invoke the Solzhenitsyn clause.

This one?

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” ― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

You still have no plan beyond a fantasy view of amending anything in the Constitution. We can’t even make our representatives ‘represent’ us and you come up with “amend”....

Get real. BTW. I won’t ‘cower’....do you even own any guns?

We have already ratified 27 Amendments to the Constitution. This one is easy. You just give up before even considering it.

Get real. BTW. I won’t ‘cower’....do you even own any guns?

I don't believe in arming my enemies with information when it serves no useful purpose.

We have done blah, blah, blah in the past....yeah.

Tell me about that last one and how long it took for it to fail again? FWIW, it was the ERA.

You are a dreamer and a contrarian that really has nothing to offer here, IMO. You need to hook up with that guy here that posts about an Article V convention (which has never been done, BTW).

Finally, you still never answered whether you legally own any guns....

The headline reading “John Kerry lied” belongs in the same category as the headline “The Sun Rose.”

I will not comply with registration or confiscation.

Door-to-door confiscation will ensure a hot civil war.
