I was cleaning out my office this afternoon. I came across my McCain Palin button. I remembered sitting in my office during the campaign and I always had CNN or Fox on. Every day they would cover the two Pres and VP stump speeches.

I did like her. I thought her speeches got better and better as the campaign carried on.

After the campaign, my adoration waned as she went from one thing to another. I am not going to even go into that now, because its been rehashed over and over. Every Sarah fan has had their chance at whipping my rear end. I don’t need that right now.

I DO wish her well.

Personally, I haven’t settled on a candidate. My attention has been elsewhere.

It’s JimRob’s website. He made it plain and clear that he would not brook Giuliani for President supporters here (I believed they were not nearly the threat that the Willardbot trolls were, whom nearly destroyed this website, but that wasn’t for me to decide). That was his call, and if you have a problem with that decision, and feel that it was a detriment to this website, take it up with him.

I still believe that a true conservative with a genuine conservative msg and platform can win a national election. We haven’t had one even running for the presidency since Reagan. Reagan was a winner and his msg and methods were right on the money. It CAN be done again, in fact, it’s our only hope.

The mods do have a short leash at times. Wow. Which is what I said to start the conversation that you disagreed with. Like i said we lost a lot of good people during 2008. We lost a lot of trolls and many dumb asses too.

I’m talking about people JimRob banned personally, not the mods themselves (the latter of whom cannot unilaterally ban). There was virtually no one that was shown the door whom were of any particular loss to this website (not to say we haven’t lost a few eccentrics over the years, but often their bans had to do with other problems, not supporting Giuliani). Feel free to cite some names of posters from that era that you believe are a loss for FR.

Naah. But she will make an excellent Secretary of State for President Cruz. :-)

I knew the answer to the question. I just wanted to hear him say it. She quit.

Just like your guy - Obama - he quit his senate seat. Oh you give him a pass on that.

Weren’t all the lawsuits costing the state a ton of money and disrupting numerous offices of the state?

I’m not sure any vocal Giuliani supporters were left standing

I'm still here.

Yes… and to every Head of government she’d visit, she could rightly say-

“I can see {fill in the country} from here!”

She did this last time, running her bus all over the place, then.... nothing.

She would face a credibility-problem with me she'd need to overcome.

At the very least, Palin would spice things up; the other candidates would have to keep on their toes; and Tina Fey would have new material.

I would welcome her as a candidate.

No worries there. Either would be exponentially better than the Narcicist in Chief and both are conservatives. My preference? Honestly do not know.

Sara Palin is sabotaging herself with her several recent public appearances which showed her comfortable with the use of language not associated with serious presidential aspirations. A picture is a window to a reality that is worth examining. I think that Sara is one of a kind personality who has the brains and wits to motivate individuals to become active in doing whatever they can to save this Republic. A presidential candidate has to be more circumspect and selective in public and personal presentation than motivational activists.

Further, this teasing of whether she will or will not run will not play a second time. Either she is in or not. Dithering is not an option this time around. In any case, I am a supporter of Sara in general, but in particular I do not see her as winning a national election and that is the end of any consideration for me as concerns 2016.

So what did she do? Stay on and fight it out or quit?

You really ought to read Sarah's full accounting of that incident in her book, "Going Rogue". It would completely settle your mind about the "quitter" meme.

Essentially, she made the only rational choice available to her, under the circumstances.
