Twenty-five years ago today, the New York Times ran its first profile of Barack Obama.

On February 6, 1990, it announced (in a headline that's now pretty dated), "First Black Elected to Head Harvard's Law Review," and explained that the 28-year-old's new role was considered the "highest student position" at the school.

Let me guess....the *orignal* version read “born in Kenya” and referred to "his good friend and mentor,Bill Ayers”.

Barack Obama was not born in Kenya. His father really had nothing to do with Barack. And his mother had no way to get to Kenya. About the time Barack was born (6 months after his false marriage), his father took a PhD scholarship from Harvard and left Hawaii as quick as possible.

Barack’s father was already married to someone in Kenya. So, he was never legally married to Barack’s mother. She was a 17 year old freshman two months into her first college semester when they hooked up. He was a grad student. And they new each other less than a month.

After she was known to be pregnant, there was a quicky wedding which helped calm down the authorities of the school and the mother. Barack’s father’s already existing wife was not discovered until he tried to marry a third time at Harvard. At that point the school caused his his visa to be revoked and he went back to Kenya. He never saw his son after he was a month old.

The reason everyone thinks he was born in Kenya, is because of the first birther, Barrack Obama himself. Obama’s own speaking literature which exists everywhere on the net (including several free republic posts), clearly describes him as Kenyan born. This article got his biography from that same source. Barack did not make much money before hitting the big time as a US senator (about 18 months before being elected President. Before that he made what money he could as a state senator (which is a part time job in Illinois) and paid speaking when possible. When you read the promotional material from Barack Obama’s own publicist, he is described as a Kenyan born black senator. You are misled to believe he is a US senator, not an Illinois state senator. This was purposeful in order to get more speaking gigs.

You see Brian Williams is not the only one with truth issues.

And, in yet another departure from custom, elected to give the position to a man who had never, and would never, publish any articles in his own magazine.

When he first became a focus of national attention, I went to the law library and looked up the issues of the Harvard Law Review from his years working on it, including when he was president of it. There was not a single note or article with his name on it. I doubt if there is another law review now or in the past in which the head of it never had anything in it with his name on it.

This more than symbolic; it is indicative.
