A new Argentine banknote featuring a map of the Falklands is to enter circulation next month. The disputed archipelago will appear on the face side of the blue 50 peso note - worth £3.70. The reverse side will carry the image of an Argentine folk hero who led a bloody 19th century uprising against the British in the Falklands. Antonio Rivero will be pictured riding across the islands on horseback with an Argentine flag hoisted above his head.

I can very easily understand why England wanted the Falklands in an age when wooden ships were sailing around America to get to the Pacific... Could anybody tell me why England wants the Falklands now??
First the residents consider themselves British. Second there is supposedly potential oil and gas in the area inside the Falklands Economic Exclusion Zone.
Because it belongs to them, and 90% of the inhabitants are British citizens.
Would be neat if the new bank notes actually showed the Argentinians surrendering enmasse after the Brits kicked their butts....
If for any reason I had to put money on it, I’d bet the thing the other way i.e. that it’s the BRITS who’re going to get booted from the Falklands and that right soon. Sort of a longish story as to why anybody would bet it that way but Argentina joining the BRICS combine in the near term figures into it.
There are signs of Oil in and around the Falklands.
Also, Argentina needs a strawman to put up to distract the folks from the really bad economy.
Because the inhabitants of the Falklands WANT them there.
How many zeros does it have on it?
I have some Argentinian bank notes from the hyperinflation period. Usually they do not allow that many zeroes to accumulate before they loop off some zeros and start over. No equivalent to the 100 trillion Zimbabwe $ note.

With what? Argentina, las I checked, had no sealift or airlift capacity, and little or no effective navy.
Brazil won’t pick a fight about the Falklands.
RAF Mount Pleasant, has a sizable garrison which can more than hold out until help comes.
